If you live in Australia you can divide the price by 1.2 to see the price withou tax, which would not apply. Price includes 20% tax, which does not apply when shipping anywhere outside European union.

We have decided for the following four versions to be produced: We would like to try to get the coins to those interested before Christmas. Based on the production schedule we should be able to ship geocoins in the first week of December. In order to be able to ship the coins as soon as possible we have prepared a pre-order possibility. Please see a pre-order at our gecoin site NB: For those outside EU the tax will be deducted during checkout.

Please tell us both dimensions. Geocoin is 1.75" in diameter, 3.5 mm thick frame. High relief of the head is raised above the frame so it makes roughly 4 mm thickness all together. Weight is 45 grams.

Samples have just arrived, this one is antique copper. We will probably make also antique silver, antique gold or antique bronz, and possibly also black nickel.
  5. Antique versions of Crown geocoin with gemstones are back in stock. Limited quantities are available through our geocoin website
  6. Olomoucky orloj geocoin - historical astronomical clock geocoin, developed with the geocaching community in the city of Olomouc, Czech republic. It is one of the two large historical astronomical clocks in the country, the other one is in Prague. On the front of the geocoin there is one of the current dials showing time, dates, phases of the moon. On the back side there is so called Fabricius' planisphere dated 1575, with 146 cm diameter on of the largest existing astrolabes in the world today, now kept in the city museum. Coin is trackable with its own icon Geocoin diameter is 2" or 50.8 mm, thickness 3.5 mm. Three metal finishes - antique silver, antique gold, antique copper - are available at limited quantity through our geocoin site Picture of the clock in 1746

Here is the revised design. We wanted to keep it simple to let the head come out. On the backiside we have played a little more with the idea of tyrannosarus hunting for the lonely cacher. Thus the human footprints are below the t-rex footprint. There will be different textures on certain levels to increase the footprint contrast and skin feel.

Thanks everybody for great comments and suggestions. We are reworking the back side of the coin with footprints and do some more general fine tuning. Will share the result soon.
  9. Some time ago we had a nice chat with friends about geocache hunting, FTF hunting - so we were thinking: Who would be the greatest (or biggest) hunter? And we have found one. The one who would be hunting not for caches, but for cachers. And he would only count FTFs. Here is the first draft design of the possible geocoin. Hope you like the concept, feedback is welcome before we go for final design and production.
  10. Crown geocoins with gemstones are now available through our geocoin site

  12. Geocoin is now available on-line at our geocoin site
  13. This special trackable crown is an idea of our friend. Her geocaching nick is "Hrabenka", which means "Countess" in the Czech language. Three variants have original Czech gemstones, each crown in packed in the velvet pouch. The crown has top diameter 33 mm and height 18 mm. It is trackable at geocaching.com with it own icon Geocoin will be available at our table at Geocoinfest EU and later through our geocoin site
  14. The interesting point here is that at the event you will need to pay VAT, which is roughly one sixth of the price. If we mail the coins to US or Canada (or any other country outside EU) we do not need to charge VAT. So it could be rougly equal - paying european VAT and US postage versus excluding VAT and paying for overseas mail.
  15. This heraldry gecoin is based around coats of arms of the Knights of the Round Table. King Arthur's with three golden crowns at the top followed clockwise by sir Lancelot, sir Percival, sir Degore, sir Bedivere, sir Kay, sir Galahad, sir Bors, sir Gawain, sir Tristan, sir Brunor, sir Hector. On the back of the coin there are twelve swords - including Excalibur. In the centre there is one of the chivalry principles "To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun", which we think relates to geocaching struggles we face - especially long multicaches and complicated mystery caches. Stamped coin will be available in three antique variants - copper, silver, and gold. Coin diameter is 2". Geocoin will be available at our booth at Geocoinfest EU and later through our geocoin site
  16. Although using the same symbol, those are different projects ;-) Our dual coin(s) proved to be very tricky. Samples are very nice, but it took 20 attempts to get two sets just perfect. This 10:1 fault ratio illustrates the difficulty of production. Other test produced even less predictible results. We talk to other people to get new production ideas.
  17. Hi, Czech wooden geocoin is quite popular here in Czech republic. It is standardised signature item, rather than swag. We do trade CWG only for other CWG. Check this catalogue of Czech wood geocoins
  18. Coins are now available at our geocoin site
  19. Last few pieces of the antique silver limited edition (50 pcs total minted) are still available - Red Square Moscow Russia geocoin
  20. Few years ago we went to Tiwanaku. (That was before we starteg geocaching.) Tiwanaku and lake Titicaca have always been places we wanted to visit for its great history, cosmological references, incredible stonecutting. Here is a link to our short video from the location - Gateway of the Sun is one of the great monumental works. It is made of a single stone block, now broken into two parts. We have done a geocoin that fetaures some elements of the gateway - central motive of Virachocha, the great creator. On the reverse side of the coin thare are four "sunkasapas" - mythic soldiers, two with human faces, other with condor heads. Samples turned out very well, so we wold like to share some photos of the sample coins with you.
  21. Geocoin is based on the actual historical seal of the Charles IV (Karel IV) from the year 1349. Charles IV is considered to be the greatest king in the Czech history. He was also Roman Emperor and played major role in the European history. Latin text on the front side of the coin is KAROLUS.DEI.GRA.ROMANOR.REX.SEMPER.AUGUSTUS - ET.REX.BOEMIE - By The Grace of God Roman King Forever Augustus And King of Bohemia. Back side of the coin is similar to the usual seal of roman emperor. The text in latin is ROMA.CAPUT.MUNDI.REGIT.ORBIS.FRENA.ROTUNDI - Rome capital of the world, holds the reins of the round orb. On the church door it says AUREA.ROMA - Golden Rome. Stamped geocoin has diameter of 45 mm, detailed 3D relief on both sides. Tracking code is engraved on the edge of the coin. Geocoin is trackable at www.geocaching.com with its own icon. There are four variants available - antique gold, antique silver, two tone antique gold + silver LE, and two tone antique silver + gold LE. Coins are available through our geocoin shop www.GeocoinDirect.net NB: For those outside EU the tax will be deducted during checkout.
  22. The problem with the original technology was that it was possible to do few flawless pieces, but did not work for "mass" production. We have done some more samples using other technology, but no real solution yet. There is one more idea though.
  23. Thank you, great to hear this. On top of this, geocache on the Red Square is back in operation thanks to hügelwühler - friends from Austria! Hope it will survive security controls performed for May holidays celebrations ;-)
