  1. The Hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the hamsa is believed by some to provide defense against the evil eye. The eye on the Hamsa geocoin glows in the dark. Four variants are available at our geocaching shop

It also has a small hole, so the geocoin can be used as a trackable pendant. Order you gecko geocoin soon, so it can be delivered before Xmas. Available through our geocoin shop. Why gecko? It is cute and interesting animal. But also because gecko - or lizard - is used as geocaching symbol among Czech geocachers.

  7. This geocoin is based on the golden ducat coin minted in Kremnica (Slovakia) in the late seventeenth century. Later medals based on this coin were worn as a protection against perils at sea. Front page shows St George in a plumed cap and armour, on horseback spearing the dragon The text is 'S . GEORGIVS . EQVITUM . PATRONVS.' - St George, Patron of the Knights On the back side ship in a storm with inscription 'IN TEMPESTATE SECURITAS' - safety in the storm Hope you like the idea and design, any comments or suggestions are welcome.
  8. New Prague geocoin, especially designed for Christmas. The idea of the geocoin is based around the very famous statue called Infant Jesus of Prague. This statue is considered as one of the key symbols for Prague. It is dated back to year 1556 when Maria Manriquez de Lara brought the statue to Bohemia as an wedding heirloom. Today, thousands of pilgrims pay homage to the Infant of Prague every year. Geoin is available in three metal finishes and you can get it through our geocoin shop Geocoin diameter is 45 mm, thickness 4 mm.
  9. I have a sketch for this kind of solution. Will finish it and share.
  10. Hello everybody. We have tried hard to get these coins produced, but it proved impossible. Lots of quality brass got wasted. But as we like the concept very much, here is a new idea on how to bring the concept of the two "partner" coins traveling together. Ther idea comes from the Lovers bridge, where lovers come to fasten the lock and then throw the key into the water. You would get two separate coin, small padlock, and keys. You lock the coins together, throw away the key and let the coins travel together... for ever. What do you think?

    T-Rex Geocoin

We have done small additonal production of two variants of the coin - antique silver and antique gold are available through our updated geocoin site.
  12. Here is a quick photo of the sample: We will be making some adjustments - 4,5 mm thickness is too much. I will be posting more photos later, my computer is not working :-(
  13. Thanks everybody for encouraging comments. We will probably make three antique metal variants. Reverse side of the geocoin will have mirrored design with tracking information.
  14. We wanted to do some horse related geocoin, as we have strong feelings for horses. Celtic goddess Epona was a protector of horses, donkeys, and mules. Here is a draft sketch for the possible geocoin. It would be possible to use it akso as a medallion, by attaching leather string through one of the holes. Hope you like the concept, feedback is welcome before we go for final design and production.

  21. Good King Wenceslas is a popular Christmas carol, but the real Wenceslas was the Duke of Bohemia who lived in the 10th century AD. He was (probably) killed by his brother and over the centuries he has become a symbol of Czech nation.
