  5. I said that because I remember seeing a baud setting option, but after checking when I got home, I do have the GPS set to Garmin mode. I have tried reinstalling my COM ports and still nothing. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I tried to make it clear. Yes, I have a an eTrex Legend too. I have the settings correct on the GPS except for maybe the baud rate (don't have it here at work to check). The Laptop will upload/download with my friend's Legend using the same data cable, but will not communicate with mine. Defective GPS? Thanks.

  8. Help! Can't get my laptop to communicate/recognize my GPS. All settings on GPS unit are correct, even hooked up a friend's Legend and it worked perfectly...ARGGHH!!
