  1. I ended up using the archived caches coordinates as a waypoint on another cache, and was able to retrieve the travel bug, after a bit of adventure! Thanks for the suggestions.
  2. It appears to be still there, I just can't get the coordinates to show up in my app. I tried adding them as a waypoint on another cache, which might work, I wondered if anyone else had a different idea.
  3. A new travel bug was placed in a geotour cache that was then archived before anyone else found it. I'm trying to get the cache to display in my Geocaching app, so I can retrieve my TB, but when I put the GC code in, all I get is Archived Cache. Any ideas?
  4. I'm down to needing 3 caches to complete an Alphanumeric CO challenge. I need to find caches placed by COs whose name start with 3, 6, and 9. Preferably within my region. I'm just not sure how or where to create a search for it. I've tried going through many of the logs of people who have completed this challenge and looking at their results, but they either seem to be archived caches or caches they found in a different state. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  5. I recently created a Bookworm TB specifically to put into a (library themed) cache, and when I got there, found out it wouldn't fit, so I took a picture of it on the cache and placed it in another cache. http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/large/2b342dcd-4275-4978-a21a-519993715537.jpg
  6. My name is actually from my license plate (AED8656), but there is a story behind that. I worked for the DMV at the time (long ago, in a galaxy far away), and asked a downstate office to send that set to us from their inventory. AEDdon was my newborn grandson at the time (now almost 16, and caches under cryptomancer), 86 was the year of my Mercedes Benz, and 56 - some other significant year. My husband goes by estral, but doesn't have an account, so we cache as a team.
  7. It may be a case of you don't need it until you need it. About a week ago I sent an old pending log that I meant to delete, and now my stats are off, and I've been searching all over for where the Unique Cache info was (I swear it used to be there). It wasn't until I came looking here that I realized I couldn't find it because they removed it. So duplicate log (with a pointer to which it is) or unique cache number, either works for me. Now I just have to find the trick to figuring out which is the duplicate.
  8. Within 10 miles of my home, there are 83 caches. I have found 42 of those, of the remaining, several are still "active" but have been missing anywhere from 6 months to 3 years.
  9. I would love to be able to use (someone elses) existing bookmark list to create my own, or be able to edit the pocket query I create from a bookmark list to remove archived or found caches, for example.
  10. Thanks for your reply, but I have deleted them from the website. They neither appear in my list of 31 active pocket queries or my list of 6 pocket queries ready to download. That is what is so frustrating. Are there any iPhone 4 users who could address this, and maybe walk me through what I am doing wrong? Thanks again.
  11. I'm using the official Groundspeak Geocaching app (download from the Apple store for $9.99). What I would like is the PQ to stop being in my list on the app. Thanks.
  12. I love PQs, and recently generated several, including Find Caches along a Route, for a trip to the west coast that we just took. However, I don't want/need them on my iPhone anymore since they are no longer of any use to me, and I'd like to keep just the ones I use on my phone. I can't for the life of my figure out how to delete them though. I've tried the reverse of how I got them on there, but deleting them from my computer and plugging the phone in to update it doesn't seem to work. What am I missing? Thanks!
