  1. yes, those are THE bluebonnets! :-) we're hoping for a great display this year as our weather has cooperated nicely, however right now we're not getting enough sun to help them bloom out. but we will, and soon. look for updates on our website and facebook about when the best time is to come see them. usually mid-march thru mid-april.
  2. The Birthplace of Texas GeoTour is the first official GeoTour in Texas - fitting for the first county in Texas! Launched December 2013, this 38-stage tour takes you all around Washington County which is beautifully located halfway between Houston and Austin. Start and end in Brenham, the largest of the five communities that make up Washington County. Along the way you'll learn about Texas history, what makes this area the "Birthplace of Texas," see a 1914 cotton gin, the church Sam Houston went to, quaint downtowns with shopping and museums, Blinn College, Blue Bell Creameries, several wineries and so much more! You'll also get to enjoy bluebonnets in the spring as you travel from cache to cache along our country roads. There are 27 collectible geocoins & proxy sets left to be awarded and plenty of collectible coins for all future cachers. Have you earned yours yet?! For our second year we created Pathtags for geocachers to collect and trade, too. We've had cachers from The Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Puerto Rico and more than seven states. A lot of nearby Texans exclaim that the GeoTour took them to places they didn't even know existed and they look forward to returning. We love that. :-) Have you completed the tour?
