  1. Caches with high muggle traffic haven't really bothered us too much. Since I usually have two little kids with me I can get away with a lot. Either people don't pay any attention to what we're doing, or they notice us but assume the kids are looking for bugs or something. Maybe you can rent a kid from a neighbor for a while to go hit those muggle infested caches!
  2. I really hate to ask stupid questions but I can't stand it any longer!! What is the ghost letter trick?
  3. I found this site The Geowizard that had some useful hints. I hope the link shows up correctly!
  4. I hate golf and I hate McDonalds. Does that mean I can remove golf balls or McToys because I find them offensive? If someone removed an item I placed in a cache simply because they thought it was inappropriate and didn't return it to me, I would consider that theft. I make jewelry and sometimes place handmade cross necklaces in caches. If you don't like them - IGNORE THEM! But don't steal them!
  5. I had an old, obsolete Sharp Wizard for years and I LOVED it! I finally had to replace it and as far as I could tell, none of the Sharp Wizards are compatible. I finally had to get a Palm after trying several of the newer Sharp models, because I couldn't use them with anything I wanted to do. I guess that's progress - sigh.....
  6. Thanks so much for all your helpful advice. I already knew about TB's (in fact, I found my first one two days ago and took it to a new home today!) but wasn't sure about the coins and tokens. Thanks again!
  7. I've spent a lot of time on the boards and can't find a thread that answers my questions. I'm sure there must be one, but I'm tired of looking so I'll just ask. What is the proper etiquette for collecting geocoins, tokens, sig items? If I take one, should I replace it with a similar item? Or is it okay to replace it with some other decent swag? I want to start collecting them, but don't have one of my own yet so I wondered about the etiquette.
  8. Just another thought - or maybe a question.... Is he just physically removing caches, or also disabling them on the site? If so, how is that possible? Having never placed a cache myself, I would assume that only the person who placed it could disable it. Doesn't the system have safeguards in place for that?
  9. Hi! Newbie and lurker here. I wasn't a member 2 months ago so I missed the first round and want to get my two cents in now. If Cachepolice is reading these posts, I'd like to say to him that I have two young children who LOVE caching with me. It has become a fun family activity we can all do together, outdoors! Your removal of caches based on your arbitrary idea of what's fair or not fair only hurts everyone else. If we went out caching and couldn't find several because you had removed them, my girls would be so disappointed. Your only motive appears to be revenge. Unfortunately, your campaign is misguided and selfish!
