I've never heard of this. Incredible. I made the cache premium only now,not sure if it will help but I figure it cant hurt. Also going to move it I think. Ridiculous.

I use amazon and just buy lock and locks. THey have all different sizes, the small notebooks,small pencils,stickers,travel bugs,etc. They also have all sorts of containers like micros,magnetics,etc that are prime eligible with free shipping.

I am so utterly disgusted by this I just have to talk about it.I had a log today that my cache had a bag of feces in it, and the inside was also filled with urine. What the hell is wrong with people? Thankfully someone cleaned it out as best they could but I posted a owner log for people to not touch it until I can get there to change it and move it. About 2 months back someone put a pill bottle cache inside my cache and I took it out and made a note on my log and description that this is illegal and if they needed help finding their own location that I saved the bottle and would help them find a place to hide theirs. I have a feeling it was them, of course they did not register the cache on the site but did have an official cache sticker on the bottle. I am a nurse and this is absolutely disgusting to me. Sorry I just had to tell others about this in case it becomes a problem for others as well.

It gets me out of the house from in front of the computer,it gets me out with my wife and we spend time doing something fun together.Once you buy the gps,it's free to do. Just a change from everyday life,I am an RN and my job stresses me out.This is a relief from that.

Is the only difference with city navigator and metroguide the autonavigate feature? I want a good city map,but dont really need navigation.

Can the Garmins use anything but Garmin software? Or isnt there really anything else out there? I want maps of northern ohio as i dont really go anywhere else,but dont want to pay $100 for a map.

Who cares? Is it worth all the drama to say ohhh i got it first.You found it,this is Geocaching,not Firstfindcaching. You would think the way some people act that by finding a cache first they are automatically accepted to Harvard Med School or something,must not have done much in life if being first to post on the website means that much.

Yep,that did it.At first xp didnt see it as a gps,just a usb device,but i restarted,then it showed up properly.Now if i could get webupdater to work.

Figured this one out,nevermind.

I did manual update and I think I have everything working now.

Hi all Just opened my new 60csx.I want to check the firmware and update it. First off,nowhere in the manual is anything about interfacing with a computer mentioned. I cannot get webupdater to work with it,it just tells me it cannot connect to the server but it does see my gps unit.I have no firewalls,etc running. I also cannot get GSAK to upload anything to the unit,it gives a connection error. Anyone have any quick tips?

Someone posted the way to put hints into what gsak gives to your gps,but i cannot get it to work.I am on the send to gps screen window.What the person posted doesnt exist in this window.Can someone tell me how to do it?

My CSX just got here from Amazon. I feel warm fuzzy feelings all over now

How do you get the hints into pocket queries results? Can you?

I am new to pocket queries,where in there can you have the file include the hints? I dont see a switch for it.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I really look forward to being able to cache for real finally. So how good is this thing under tree cover? Does it really hold a signal well?

Sweet,i cant wait to get this thing.Last gps i had was 3 or 4 years ago,i think it was a color legend that i paid over $350 for at the time,i was trying to find a cache and the dadgum thing had me driving around residential streets a mile from where i was supposed to be. Trees killed it's reception.

Thats good. Can the compass be disabled? No biggie for me,it's another $50 and i guess if i ever go to space,i can take it to check my altitude lol.

Are they identical the 60cx and 60csx except for the compass.Does the cx give better performance?

Yeah,I just noticed that. Well,I dropped the hammer and just ordered the 60csx.Hopefully it works well.

Well,the wife will kill me,but we both agreed it will get us out of the house and to get some exercise,so i went to amazon and got the Garmin 60csx just now since it seems to be the current best GPS unit to get. It will be here tomorrow,any tips or other things I should get or start thinking about tonight?

Wow,even with the helix antenna on it? Will any of the x models of garmin give me good coverage under trees or just the 60csx and 60cx models?

Howdy all I am thinking of getting the GPSMAP 60 for my first try into caching.I like it because it has the bigger antenna that I am reading does well in tree cover and even in the house.Any experiences with this? I would love the color version,but $250 is more in my price range.
