Last fall I was getting ready to go caching when I saw my father's dog had escaped and rand odwn the dirt alley across from my house. Following him down the alley I hit a rock that cracked the Y pipe in my cougar and ripped everything from the catalytic converter back free. We cought the dog and took him home then still went caching. It cost me $450 to replace the whole exhaust and an entire saturday that could have been spent caching. My favorite caches have been The River View cache A considerable hike up and down a mountain in each direction with a breathtakign view of the Allegheny River from well over 100 feet above it. And The Elves Think Magellan SUCKS Not only is this a great hike but its the anticacher cache. A two stage multi that informs you bushwhacking is not necessary but the trail makes a loop nearly a quarter mile out of the way. But bushwhacking it not advisable its one of the worst areas of undergrowth. There are briars and nettles and poison ivy everywhere off trail. But staying on trail isn't easy either there are several spring fed mud holes that block the trail. And if you would bushwhack you miss an adventure walkign up the stream which is pretty and has some intresting sights on its own. I may find give-n-takes' caches I have an aunt in Warren I've been thinking of going up for a weekend to do some caching, I'm not terribly keen on my aunt so caching gives me a good excuse just to stay there to sleep! Well we spent several hour today hunting the cache again then decided to at least log Lep's cache. Which I must say is my second favorite cache I've ever hunted. I am sure there have been plenty of emails and I know there have been a few phone calls. It looks like there have been a few problems with this contest, mostly probably oversights. The coordinant error hapens to have had quite an effect. Most of the caches seem to have worked out well, thought the security of the sites server seems to be an issue as well. We ran into Lep, Puppyman, and a few cachers new to us in Settler's Cabin park we all searched all over the park looking for the cache. We and lep were the last to leave at around 3:30 not having found the cache. there were lots of interesting stories out there today. try taking a stroller down any path you want to hide a cache on wheelchairs are limited by the diameter of the smaller wheels which are roughly the same diameter as most stroller wheels if a stroller rolls smoothly a wheelchair should be ok. I really wish we could come but I was nearly skinned the last time I drug her half way across the state. We had a blast but poor Shado gets nervous any time she leaves the county.
