  4. You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
  5. I love Earthcaches, and I'm really disappointed that it's no longer possible to set them. I need to do more of them, but my favourite is allieballie's Bow Fiddle Earthcache which took me to this....

TOP TIP I find that having a small supply of inexpensive plastic boxes in my rucksack, each containing a small notebook, some IKEA pencils and some MacDonalds toys, ensures I no longer have to log a DNF Simply leave one of these boxes where you think the cache should be (remembering to write your name with the initials "FTF" in the notebook) and log your "find" as normal. No more DNFs - EVER!
  9. An event cache will be held on the August Bank Holiday event which will be an opportunity for friends of Bill Hemphill to remember him by climbing his favourite Scottish mountain, Schiehallion. Details here: Schiehallion Anyone who attended a caching event with Bill will recognise just how sociable he was and how much of himself he gave to others. So it’s fitting that a gathering of friends at one of Bill’s favourite places in Scotland should be a tribute to him. The plan is that we meet on the morning of Sunday 27th August (the Bank Holiday weekend) and along with Angela, climb Schiehallion, However, this date does not suit everybody who will want to pay tribute to Bill, so the cache will remain open until the end of September to allow people who want to pay tribute to Bill to do so at their own time and pace. A logbook will be placed in a nearby pub/hotel/visitor centre and presented to Angela after the event cache is closed. Accomodation and travel details and so forth will be posted shortly. There is an existing challenging cache by Snaik on Schiehallion, called Centre of Scotland I hope to have a number of new physical caches placed nearby and on the main routes to the meeting place. All suggestions welcome!
  10. Angela yesterday completed 400 finds for Team Ullium at the fourth Scottish Geocachers Day Out at Gifford in East Lothian. Bill Hemphill, who was well known to many geocachers throughout the UK, died in February this year. Bill had hoped to find his 400th cache with his wife, Angela, but sadly this was not to be. So warm congratulations to Angela who reached 400 at Bronze and Iron 2: "Green Castle" An event cache will take place in late August as a tribute to Bill, where friends will be able to remember him at his favourite Scottish mountain, Schiehallion.

  12. Came on after the footie, had a quick look at the shop, found 2 Wales coins that I had been hankering after! Bought and paid for and told they'll be posted tomorrow! Good service or what?!?!?! (And no - I have no connection with the shop whatsoever!!)

  16. I've put put a link for Tomtom POI OV2 of parking places for my Bute caches. Terracotta Warriors I'd like your thoughts. Is this worthwhile?
  17. I've done some near Blantyre (and there are lots of good one's I've still to do) but I'd suggest The Kiln and Crutherland Bridge Both are easy.
  18. I keep "visible map portion" tiles on my SD card, but I can never remember which is which. Is there a way to rename them?
