  1. I think I found an answer in another thread. Apparently it won't show me caches that are far away from where I am (currently in Cornwall, England). http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=339637 says exactly this. Tested it by downloading a GPX for one a mile away from home and indeed it shows up. So I guess I'm heading to Rome and taking it on trust my caches will show up when I get there.
  2. Last week I was given an etrex 10 as a birthday present, my first GPS. I loaded up one cache to test it, went and found the cache using the device, all seemed great. I removed the cache (by plugging the GPS into my mac, navigating to it and deleting it - I couldn't see any obvious way to do this on the device itself. any ideas?). I then loaded up a stack of caches, as I'm going to Rome on Sunday so wanted to grab a bunch of caches while I was there. I then checked my device and it says it has no geocaches. If I plug it in and navigate to the GARMIN > GPX folder in Finder, I can see all the GPX files I've put on it (individually, via this site using the "Send to GPS" feature). I fear I'm missing something through being a noob at this, but I'm going to be gutted if I can't find some of these caches because of this - this was meant to be my first overseas caching trip and I'm really excited. Am I missing something obvious here? Have googled and found lots of stuff on the garmin forums, most of which made no sense to me, possibly because I'm not up on the GPS terminology. So I don't know if it answers the question or not
