  1. Yup I'd vote for Hawai'i . On O'ahu, the weather during the day is consistently in the upper 80s. The hikes with caches (all but one) are day hikes and you don't have to worry about snakes, bears, ticks, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, if fact the outdoors are pretty tame around here.
  2. Having the url parsed by the forum software wasn't the problem. (The link is still clickable/functional even if it is parsed and "looks funny".) I wanted to know where on my profile page I could find "challenges", but it turned out that they are only visible through the test site as yet. I believe the link above (http://www.geocaching.com/my/challenges.aspx) is not on the test site. It is live, but it hasn't been linked to your profile page or any drop down menus yet.
  3. #1 --- Friday August 26, 9p EST #2 --- Friday September 2, 9p EST #3 --- Thursday September 1, 9p EST #4 --- Thursday August 25, 9p EST In order of working best for me .
  4. You can check out this post, It has a link with a nice list of coins. That's exactly what I was looking for . Mahalo plenty!
  5. If there is still room, I wouldn't mind playing .
  6. Does anyone know if there is a list or thread displaying the mystery coins that are out there? Would be cool to check it out .
  7. Dang! Missed it by one . Congrats to the winners and Mahalo for the cointest kini_ont .
  8. I'll say 64 caches, difficulty 1.5
  9. GeoWoodstock will be held wherever the best bid takes it (possibly the Pacific Northwest again). It's the dates that are important so they will never be on the same weekend. GeoWoodstock - Memorial Day or Independence Day weekends Block Party - third Saturday of August, International Geocaching Day
  10. Nice catch! Hmmmm why shouldn't last years count . I noticed it a couple of days ago and was wondering the same thing, why the B-Party page was still displaying the Mega Icon. As for last years, it was a 10 year party so it was just a tad more special. Looks like the B-Party will become a regular mega event with this standard "GeoBlock" Icon.
  11. You can get them Here or you could wait for the B-Party and I am sure you'll end up with one .
  12. Here's some pics: There seems to be a monument of the hero Lapu-Lapu located in the Philippine City of Lapu-Lapu of all places .
  13. Hey MissJenn, I checked the trackables history on some P.I. caches figuring if there was going to be a geocoin with a P.I. design/theme it would probably pass through a cache there. This is what I found - Lapu-Lapu Geocoin. Cya in August @ the B-Party
  14. OK if I had to pick three: GC102CV - Honu Beach Cache: Laniakea Beach on the North Shore of O'ahu. The shore and beach are frequented by green sea turtles or Honu, many of which make their way up onto the beach to sun themselves. GC12KJE - Kaniakapupu: The ruins of King Kamehameha III summer palace. It's a short stroll through a bamboo forest a few hundred feet away from the road, but when you arrive it feels like a whole new world. It was also, I believe, the first letterbox hybrid (and the only one for awhile) on O'ahu. GC2MDQ7 - Ahu o Laka: The Kane'ohe Bay Sandbar. A short kayak/boat ride out to the middle of the bay to enjoy unique views of O'ahu. There you have it .
  15. Let me be the first to welcome you! Don't hesitate to hit one of us up if you have any questions .
  16. As I see guidelines multi has to start at given coordinates. When mistery is places there is nothing at given coordinates. Usually in multi you get final coordinates on the field. In mistyer you have to get coordinates in webpage. For those who say it's mistery please say why? It sounds like a multi to me too. However, I've heard it said before that the mystery/puzzle type is a catch all. Maybe the reviewer is playing it safe and having you list it as such .
  17. In the future, Caches will find YOU!!! Seriously, I understand where you're coming from, but Micro Happens!!! Just enjoy the fact that you can still get out and cache .
  18. Wrong one . Here it is GC30VVZ.
  19. Nope, erik88l-r is just that awesome !
  20. It's been published! GC30VVZ By none other than erik88l-r the Hawai'i (and other places - he's all over the place) reviewer .
  21. I would totally recommend the 'Aiea Loop Trail it is an easy 5 mile loop hike (hardly any elevation gain) and it has 11 caches on it (including the first cache in Hawai'i - GC23). PM me if you need anymore info .
  22. I just picked this up from the Groundspeak store. Nametag
  23. Actually it's much easier than that to get the precise (header) coordinates of an unpublished cache when there's a trackable in it. If it is the way that was mentioned earlier, not anymore. TPTB finally (and quietly) fixed that "loophole" .
