Sadly - haven't camped around here yet - but wanted to be hospitable, wish you bienvenue and good caching. Rumor has it that it won't be a very warm weekend - but a beautiful fallish one.

It's the Society for Creative Anachronism - a worldwide medieval re-creation society - just figured, what with your name, your avatar, and your reading material - it might be right up your alley. I don't play anymore - but I used to, and it was good fun. Check out this pageif you're curious.
(won't make this OT thing a habit.)

Just noticed your sig - wanted you to know that at least one cacher has also read the series!
Can't beat Jamie. (not SCAdian, are you?)

The owner of our local letterbox/geocache hybrid Iced Tea 2 has actually attached the stamp to the lid of the cache - this way, when the logbook gets filled with the rapturous accolades of your adoring public, you can replace it without messing around re-attaching the stamp.

I really appreciate the help - I had tried that....it didn't appear to be working - and since I'm so often wrong with these things, thought I'd better ask. (as you see...working now.)
Tx. Beta.

Hi there folks - not terribly computer literate here - I suspect there's a ridiculously simple answer - I want the line at the bottom of my posts to include where I am from....I've tried changing my profile information - with no visible result...any suggestions?
the intrepid lemming who has little computer savvy.

You proabably cannot paste because the computer has run out of glue. Get a gallon at your nearest wholesale store and sqeeze into all available holes on the computer*snicker* I THINK I know enough about computers to know that you ONLY EVER put glue in the floppy drive........
(o do I ever hope I did the quote moderately right, or mockery will surely abound..)
beta lemming. (the other lemming is far more computer competent, sadly, you're stuck with me)

thank you.

thank you.

hmm - anyone know why the convenient little grey box wouldn't let me paste. It's obnoxious to have to type the entire address.
(however, thanks for intructions.)

Just another vote for BFG - think it's succinct and clever. My only BFG association is Big Friendly Giant - can't think where I got that from tho, mental block. Anyone else know?

Hi there - not sure how much reading you actually want to do on this - but there's a nice long thread in the Canadian forums (page 2) describing (in DETAIL) how the Canadian Geocoins came to be. They're beautiful.
hope this helps
really wish I knew how to insert one of those cool
"look here" links. Sigh.

Is it safe to assume that this is still a perfectly good functioning cache despite the departure of the quilt squares? I'm hopeful, 'cos it looks like a pleasant trek...

I'm so sorry I missed participating in the geoquilt by such a tiny number of days - I'll still be very interested to see the final result - Dx - would you consider submitting photos of your geoquilts to Quilter's Newsletter and similar publications - it's the sort of story they adore for their readers forums (fora...but I digress) - and as you know - quilters TALK - so good publicity for caching...let me know if you need magazine addresses - and bravo on the quilt.
--the Intrepid Lemming who quilts.
ps - first forum post ever - do forgive possible errors..

That sounds like a really worthwhile and valuable item - I'd be proud to be first finder for it. (not that I'd turn my nose up at ANY first finder prize...still pretty new at this)
