  1. THIS POST IS FOR "TEAM CAPE GOLDENS" aka "wb0wao" I found it amazing that you posted to this forum just a week before taking our TB "Drifter"! You said you was getting some TB's & i SEE WHERE YOU have turned two of them loose. i Wonder what they are and where they are?! What you don't want to do is take a fellow geocacher's TB & keep for yourself! That is not acceptable & is quite RUDE! Below is the email we have sent to you many times...maybe it will persuade you to return The Drifter that you took from our cache just a day after we placed him! "6/8/2009 wb0wao retrieved it from I-55 Travel Bug Inn - Picked up Drifter and will help him on his way!" "Hello fellow geocacher's...this makes the 4th or 5th time we have contacted you in regards to OUR TB The Drifter that you took from our cache back in June! We would like to get Drifter back if you don't plan to place him immediately. We have said "place him soon" numerous times. It is quite RUDe of you to keep ahold of a TB when, as geocacher's, you know the ropes & ettiquite of taking TB's & moving them along. We are even willing to pick him up from you so you don't have to take him anywhere! Drifter is our FIRST TB so please be cooperative, as I am sure that you would not appreciate someone doing that to you. Although they are not very expensive, the TB tags are not free you know! I will give you my phone # again 573-979-****, in case you'd prefer us to pick him up. IF you have lost him or something, please just be resptful enough to tell us that & don't keep IGNORING our requests to get him back in the game!! Thank you, Shelly McAninch ("rick2560")" NOW WILL YOU PLEASE GIVE US OUR TB BACK??
  2. Well, it finally happened !! Some NON GEOCACHING person has taken our micro !! I was a bit skeptacal about placing a cache where it had a GOOD chance of someone watching as a cacher found my micro and more than likely waiting for them to finish with it and then come and snatch it !!! I WILL not place another cache where its more likely to be seen by passers by !!! I never liked looking for OTHER people's caches in a busy area or where it is easy to be seen by others. Some people and I am one DON'T like looking for caches where people can watch........It makes me un-easy AND it sooner or later will be taken. I know your supposed to kinda look around to see if someone is watching you retrive before you do. Lets face it, its MORE likely to be seen by others if you place the thing right out in the open where they can watch you !! You all can do as you like but I won't do anymore out in the open. Rick
  3. We have found 4 TB's and placed them in OUR own cache. Problem is, we cannot figure out how to log that they are in the cache's inventory and not just showing that we retrieved them from another cache...HELP!
  4. WE HAVE BEEN ASKED NUMEROUS TIMES AND WE ALWAYS JUST EXPLAIN THE ART OF GEOCACHING TO THOSE WHO ASK. WE HAVE GOTTEN MANY PEOPLE HOOKED ON IT JUST AS JOHN TEE HOOKED US!
  5. Good luck getting one. We sent in for one as soon as they posted they were to be available and never got any type of response. We do have at least one in our town that smeone was lucky enough to get.
  6. Can anyone please tell me where I can find any guidelines that tell you how to post a cache? Such as, is it a traditional or should it be posted as a micro? We have found several today that we would consider MICRO's. All they had was a log or maybe 1-2 items such as lapel pins, no room for anything else. However, they were posted as traditional cache's. Thanks!
