  1. I had the same problem when I upgraded and bought a new laptop. My Explorist would not communicate with Windows10. I tried several apps and downloads for my laptop with no avail. However, I did finally find a great fix. At the time, My Explorist GC was running V1.7. After I upgraded the Explorist GC software to V2.5 things started working again and Windows10 recognized and was able to communicate with the Explorist GC. Follow the directions during the install.   3. I had the same problem. I tried several fixes before I found a fix that worked. When I had the problem, my Magellan was running version 1.8. After logging on to the Magellan support/download page, I downloaded the most recent version. After updating my Explorist GC to version 2.5, the GPSr was able to communicate with Windows10. Check to see what version you are running. If you are not running at least 1.7, you'll have to update to 1.7 before updating to 2.5. I hope this information helps everyone having difficulty.   4. My Magellan Explorist will no longer work. I can't access any of the features. When I start it a funny looking window's screen shows. I can not power it off with out removing the batteries. How do I do a Hard reset to factory settings? All programs are inaccessible.
