LOL, I just got a self inking stamp that says TNLNSL - 57Chevy. So I guess I actually didn't "sign" the log. It works great though. If you'd like to know where I got it contact me off list, I'm not sure if it's kosher to plug a vendor not affiliated w/Groundspeak. I do carry along sig. items and wooden nickels along with various other swag. When I do trade I like to believe that I always trade evenly or trade up. I'm a sucker for personal sig. items and will generally always trade for them.
Heh, we have the stamp that says "CoreyNJoey Found it!"

We tend to stay away from the Playground caches. If we had kids, we'd use them as cover, but we don't, so I always feel like everyone is looking at us thinking we're perverts.
We also don't hunt the Wally World park and grabs. Not to say we wouldn't do it if we happened to be going there, we just wouldn't make a special trip there just to get the cache.

It definately looks better w/ sandblasting!
-
We don't trade that often either. We do carry some swag just in case we find something we want to trade for, but we mostly find old Mctoys in caches, which don't interest us. We just enjoy the hunt and the scenery.

It reminds me a lot of American McGee's Alice. I loved that game, it was so demented!
-
Although I can think of a few caches I'd like to leave this at, I don't think I'd ever have the nerve to actually do it!

That was pretty cool! I didn't realize there were so many parts of the rocket that got detached in the process. One of these days we'll have to have a CITO event up there!

Our Secret Cupid arrived! We got a Nacaya, Bernd B's 208, and a Geonut!!
THANK YOU CUPID!!!!!!!!

When I had my personal coins made, I worked directly with Northwest Territorial Mint, here in Washington. They were great! I got a tour of the plant and everything. I would use them again for my v2 coin (not announcing anything -- just looking forward to it one day!!), and I would highly recommend them. Feel free to email me with any questions....
I had no idea there was a mint here! I'd think they'd be a lot more expensive than the ones overseas though. Do they do trackable geocoins? I don't see anything on their webpage about geocoins.

I sent a request to change the color of my coin. Was not happy with the light PMS 310 so I opted for PMS 2925.
Good deal! I hope others won't be afraid to change something if they don't like it. It's your coin, so make sure you like it!

Just got a final notice from OakCoins about artwork and ordering, etc.
I will be having my coins delivered at the CoinFest next month...they will NOT be for sale. The WILL be for TRADE ONLY, and 1st dibs to the other members of the Top 40.
Maybe we should start a new thread just for Top 40 traders....whatya think?
That was already tried and the moderator shut it down. They said to use the trading post pinned at the top of this forum for trades

We'd be honored to participate!

Sara works later at night. You should hear from her by morning I would think.
I am hoping and crossing my fingers!
We had an email last night. Was it necessary to change the colors, fairly significantly, in order to have them in PMS colors? Our colors from Jaimie were a lot brighter (like what we had from the album maker) but now, they are the same colors, but much, much darker????
I noticed this too but the difference must have been more subtle in mine so I didn't mention anything and just approved it.
I work around PMS color charts everyday and I can tell you, the PMS colors will look different than what you see on the computer screen. The best way to pick a PMS color, is to have a chart physically in hand, and looking at it outside in natural light or in a light box. I work with printing tee shirts, and in that arena, if you print a color on a black shirt, it's not going to be as bright as if it were printed on a white shirt. I would think the same would apply on a dark coin vs a light coin, but I could be wrong.

I have yet to find a non-trackable left as swag, but I would love it!!

We are having a high ol' time . Piloted one-person boyant observation bubble bikes in the harbor off Water Island, which is just off Charlotte Amalie, which is on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. FYI, Charlotte Amalie is the capitol of the USVI.
You did BOB!! We did that when we were there too! The depth perception thing was trippy! Are you on a Carnival ship?
Oh yeah, nice coin! (see, I'm staying on topic)
