Ah RATS, I understand that the owner has gone after the cache??? PLEASE tgell it was just a rumor . . .
Sadly, it's true. We were there when the CO made the climb and retrieved the cache. Unfortunately, this was his only chance to retrieve it before the tear-down date.

I tried the link from the OP and it didn't work for me...can someone verify that the link still works?
Its all fixed now. They merged all of the posts, so the link was for the original. Thanks!

I really like the design too I think 3D under translucent given the right design looks sharp.

Totally! Great job!

Checking out the Northwest Forum is a good place to start.
Here's the Northwest Classics bookmark of caches
Then there's the Cache Faves Northwest list, which has a breakdown by hikes, great views, clever containers, etc. The list is a little dated (some of the caches aren't available anymore)

22 more days to register for Geowoodstock VIII at the lower price!!! Prices go up on April 1st! Hurry and register at www.geowoodstock.com!!!
Hi! So we are a family of four that go under the geocaching name of burgessfour, but there will probably be 2 adults and just one child (12 years old) at the event. Do we all register under the same GC name or do we all pay seperate? If we all pay seperate are there child prices?
Thanks!
Shari of burgessfour
Hi Shari,
Just go to www.geowoodstock.com and register for the site. Once you are done there, go to Event Registration. This is where you would choose your registration levels. Once you decide which level you want to be at, include your name and geocaching name for your badge, then click add to cart. Then go back and choose another registration level for the other adult and child. Once done, then click on checkout and here you can either pay through paypal or by money order!

Does anyone know where I can get about 40 trackable aluminum tags really cheap? (I am talking rock bottom cheap like no more than $2-$3 each) I am looking for something like Travel Tags, CacheKinz or Tagabondz.
The GeoWoodstock Salmon Cachekinz are $3 (trackable on geocaching.com w/unique icon)

My understanding is that 2.7 is mainly an update for XMAP users. Come Spring, 2.8 is supposed to come out and be more useful for geocaching.

Tomorrow is this months poker game! We'll try to get the blue ones up for sale tomorrow evening!

Purple!

So I'm confused, is there a new color for every poker event or....?
Yup, each event will have it's own color.

Ah...Looked in my box of coins from CGF, and I see that I only found oneof these in Red in there...The others I was remembering were from GCC in Red, Green, and Blue
Did you get the gold or silver?

Go to this page http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx
Select Event cache from the drop-down
Then select "by State/Country"...
Select your country, then your state, press "seek"...
See what's around.

(I just did a search for Washington state - there are a few to choose from )
I know of a few couples who met at geocaching events and are now married or engaged

I'd go with the iPhone. The Nuvi sounded great when they first announced it 2 years ago, but now it's dated. I've read that Garmin will be ditching their proprietary OS and switching to Windows Mobile and Android for future phones.

Fortunately for me I have a cache where it is too expensive and too hard an engineering feat to remove the wrecked 60 ton steam engine and the two passenger cars from the river canyon. It your's and my treasure!
On of our favs...and in a beautiful location too!

I sent design the other day and got bouce back, trying again.
In the original post, the email was wrong. It should be shop99er@prodigy.net , not .com. If that doesn't work, you can send it to cowws.net @ gmail.com

Good Luck!!!!
When I started tracking this topic I had no idea if I'd even have a shot at one of these treasures. Today being extremely laaaazy, like moreso than usual, I was alternating between dozing and reading my book when my phone sprang to life with a notification that this topic had been replied too. HUH, thinks I. Working quickly I grabbed my gps and began inputting coords while I located my shoes. Only 4 miles and change from home. "LETS GO!" We parked in a familiar location and walked down a trail we've been down many, many times until the gps ticked down to 18'. Close enough for Gordy to put the gadget away and we get down to the serious business of hunting. It didn't take long before I spied something peculiar. DING DING DING - I was the winnah winnah and I didn't even get any chicken dinnah.
Thanks for the fun!

I learned that if I want a good selection of tsun's coins, then I need to be there before the doors open! 5 minutes after it opens isn't fast enough!
