I am trying to use different fonts using microsoft word these are standard fonts. Try using the character map application. It will show you what keystrokes to use for characters not on your keyboard. Like alt0176 will give you a degree symbol. °

It sounds as if you need to make an image file. There are several ways to go about this.

I had this problem with my Legend C. it turns out that the pointer was set to "Course", once I set the pointer to "Bearing" it started functioning properly. Hope this helps.

It sounds as if you have your unit set to follow road. Try setting it for off road.

Go to Options / Location then add this line home, N32 00.000, W 110 00.000 Make sure you use your home coordinates, and not the ones in the example. then goto Centre point, and select home. That should clear up at least some of your problems.
