got it figured out... except for the part that it wont show on my computer... oh well ! Thanks all and Happy Hunting!

ok Tried new cable... got nothing... did master reset... nothing... plugged into bf work computer and it shows in "my computer" So i guess i will need to contact garmin to see why it wont come up on my own computer. So now how do i put the geocaches on the GPS LOL ... im sure i will figure it out Thanks for the help!

Thanks. I will try a differnt cable tomorrow. I have un-plugged and replugged with "my computer" open and it doesnt show anything. When I first plug in the gps it shows a pic of a gps connected to a cord to a computer for a few seconds then just goes to the main menu. It does make a noise that sounds like its connected. I have left if plugged in for more then 15 minutes..with no results. I am also goin to try a different computer to see if that works.....if not a master reset...which since its brand new...shouldnt need to be done..but who knows.

Hi guys!! I hope someone can help! I have been geo caching for a bit now and decided to finally get a GPS so I can have better luck beating out my geo caching partner LOL Anyhow I Finally got my Garmin Dakota 20 in the mail to day and was sooo excited... put some batteries in... went to geocache.com and was surprised to find a free premium membership for a month! Sweet. So I .. Registered my Garmin Downloaded the plug in.... Then it had me download a USB Drive... and finally it said activate 30 day trial It comes up with The Garmin device is either not connected or to isn't registered at My Garmin. it also is not showing in "my computer" Please help! I was hoping for a Geocaching adventure this weekend!!! I have tried uninstalling the plugin and the drive.. and re-installing.... I have Windows 7. Any help would be awesome! Thanks I also tired to search this in the forums but it wasn't having it!

I cannot navigate to geocache. Geocaching.com forces close Someone please help! I have removed battery and uninstalled an re-installed the app. NO LUCK
