  1. Sounds good! But how to do this piece of "author script"?I'm not too much familiar with code and this sounds like a nogo for me. In addition i would need (i guess) a second "general" variable which contains the "overall start time" to compare this with the final approach time. All stages (24) should be done in let's say 24h. 1 Stage per hour. Is there a way to block the logfile (or whatever is written during play) from beeing modified in a way that the player may cheat with the timing?
  2. Sounds not too bad. If the player arrives at the target location he needs to start the Wherigoplayer again... Am i able to control this startup? I.e. the user has to arrive in a specified time frame at the new location. Can i control this and decide if he is allowed to go further? Lets say: the player has 1 hour time between shut down and restart. He shuts at 8 and restarts at 5 to 9 then he is allowed to continue. If he starts 5 past 9 he is not.
  3. Ok, I didn't try that one up to now. For me it sounds like "shut down player and turn on Navigation". What will happen once i arrive the target location = Zone to Navigate to? Hmm, will give it a try and report result in next few days. For those people not using Oregon device it should not cause too much trouble as they (up to my knowledge) can use map navigation along with the running player. For those i would provide the map and they simply need to "install" it before playing the cartridge. May be that it is not that easy...?
  4. Hey guys! I'm planning to create my second cartridge and i want to use an old map to navigate through several stages. The map is an old printed city map and i already calibrated it for use on Oregon via G-Earth. Now I'm able to activate this map and, if i do so, it is displayed on screen and i can see where buildings have been etc. But now i got stuck on creating a command to use this map within my cartridge. As far as i know during running a cartridge in Oregons Wherigo player there is no possibility to navigate with maps. Or am I wrong here? If this is the case then is there such option for PPC? And if yes: can somebody tell me how to...?
  5. Done! Simply a fault from the upload site. The file i tried to upload is now 8 times on the Wherigo site! It has been uploaded regardless to the failure message.
  6. I need help... Built my first Wherigo with URWIGO and tried to upload the gwz-file to Wherigo database. Once i define the file for upload and click on "upload gwz file" the edit cartridge details page opens. First thing i discovered is that on cartridge type there is no "Geocache" available but in Urwigo it is! On this page i'm allowed to change some fields (or not?) and regardless if i do so or not once i press "save cartridge details" a very infomative "An Error Has Occurred. Your request has resulted in an error. Please return to this site's home page to continue." screen pops up and I'm done. Any suggestions? I attached the gwz-file (renamed to .zip as .gwz is not allowed). Maybe someone is able to check it...? Cheers, Frank Briefe - Kopie.zip
  7. the software that comes with the device isnt capable of direct input of coordinates. You will have to replace the software on the device with something capable of this functionality. The omnitech is capable of running several win ce based mapping softwares. TomTom, Igo8, Garmin OziexplorerCE and others have been successfully installed on this device. Just remember licensing rules apply when going this route. I have the same device and use something called "Cachewolf". It is similar to GSAK software but free of charge.
