  1. I have the same problem. Was there, now gone. No red x though, just no graphic period.
  2. I feel WAP interface should also show cache container, difficulty, and terrain ratings, along with a link to retrive more than the last 5 logs. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. hahah. that is hillarious. But personally I don't think they have any right to "run you" if they have not established reasonable suspicion of a crime having been committed. (and even if you WERE taking pictures of someone, that isn't a crime anyways...the police take our picture at various intersections too...)
  4. If we could add the "You have already found this geocache" feature to the watchlist page that would be cool too. Probably by use of the Red Checkmark rather than text... Still waiting to see feature showing inactive geocaches as inactive on the watchlist page too... (e.g. strikethrough text as seen on quick view page.
  5. I would like to be able to see the cache status (active, temporarilly disabled, archived, etc) on the watchlist page, just like it shows cache status on the Quick View page. The Quick View page will show my recent logs and strikeout the cache name if it is currently disabled, for example. However, this is not the case on the Watchlist page. They show all the caches as active. Can this be changed? Humbly submitted, Thegoldminer
  6. My stance is that the "Discovered it" is a good feature because, at the very least, it shows the bug owner that the bug is still in the listed cache. All too often I find caches with bugs listed as inventory, but the bug missing. The previous find may have been a month or more prior and if the prior find did not leave or take the bug, there is no indication otherwise if the bug was still there unless he marked it "Discovered it". I encourage the continuance of the feature.
  7. Seeding your own caches with other people's TB's seems consistent with the spirit of the game to me. Since the goal of most TB's is to get around, it serves to accomplish this. Many people visit caches just because they see they have TB's in them. Seems a good way to help get a TB movin'. We sometimes give TB's directly to other cachers, so what would be wrong with having them go to a cache to get them? I grabbed a TB from a cache for the first time the other week thinking that I could get him moving. But most of the caches I have run into have been micros or otherwise too small for the TB so I am just holding on to it. If I had my own caches I would have put him in one of them by now just to get him to someone else.
  8. I'll tell you my biggest concern with "appointment on private property": I download all caches in the area that I intend to be in to my GPS. There is no description, no clues, nothing. I find my caches by going to the nearest cache waymark on my GPS, and then to the next, and so on. If I were to download your cache and go there at some other time of the day, I would be "violating" your idea of appointment only. Aside from that, I would be concerned that I found myself on private property. To contrast with any other cache with similar limitations, if another cache is only "available" during certain hours (such as a park open during certain hours, etc, as the reviewer suggests), the hours tend to be posted and I have an opportunity to learn of the hour restrictions. Or perhaps upon arrival I would observe other indications that the cache can or should be retrieved at certain times, such as the presence of reguarly scheduled little league games, or high traffic areas. Likewise, it would also likely not be private property, or other property where I might find myself concerned that my actions may be construed as suspicious or tresspassing. I applaud your creative intentions, but I do not feel it is within the current spirit of the sport. p.s. As to the comments about the cache being on an island in a lake, I have actually been looking forward to encountering this situation when I show up for a cache. I would be able to get a better idea of the area, and then properly prepare for a return. The joy of this sport is that we can pick and choose our "battles".
