  1. I call this duckwalking - which has a double meaning - you have to duck under things while you walk and you look like a duck who is walking These are very hard for me to do since I've had 3 back surgeries - we get to that point and I always say - look I can duck or I can walk, but I can't do both at the same time and someone (I never go out in the woods alone) will usually help me get past those both ways
  2. I have found that a great place to get cache ideas is to search ebay for geocaching, you'll be amazed at what's out there.
  3. You say you found this in a geocache? The GPSr says it's right over there so we can just log this as a find, right? Come on, we can take 'em and grab the FTF!
  4. I totally agree - and I love the analogy of the bumper sticker I found one once that was in a small zip type bag that was beat to shreds and I thought I should replace the bag - but I e-mailed the owner before I even did that - I didn't know if maybe that was part of the "charm" of the TB and he said "you would do that for me? Thanks" I didn't think it was a big deal - I buy those bags by the hundreds and he seemed like I was doing him the biggest favor in the world
  5. I did that when I released my first travel bug a few months ago and was getting frustrated that it still didn't have any miles after I did it - I had "dropped" it in a cache near my house and then in a cache near my friends house 50 miles away so it should have had about 50 miles on it but it was 0 - then my friend said - "You need to recalculate your miles" and I was like - how in the heck do you do that? and he told me about the drop down menu under the Trackable Items Options box - I had never noticed it there before - boom, I suddenly had 53 miles on my TB I'm just adding this for anyone else who may have never noticed the drop down menu and didn't know they could recalculate their miles
