I'm having the same issue & the geocache software is the same version above (though on a samsung galaxy tablet, android 8.1.0). I'm not sure when the software was updated. I was able to log from the app about a month ago, but this past week it didn't work. The app allowed me to sync, shows a smiley face on the tablet as if I did log the cache, but no signs of a logs on the cache page. it is strange. If a solution is found, I'd be interested & will post again if anything changes. My thought at this point is to uninstall and reinstall the app.
