  1. We used to be able to see the "State Name" where a cache is hidden, when viewing a Friend's list of Finds. We can only see the Distance in miles from our location now, which is not very useful. We live in an area where we can geocache in 5 states, so it is very useful to see which state our Friends have geocached in their recent outings. That helps us to plan where we want to go geocaching in our next outing.
  2. I have gotten this error maybe 10 times in the past 5 years over 100's of PQs. A re-submit a second later works and the error does not reappear; however for the past 3 days, I get it EVERY time I try to generate a PQ. I tried it many times on two Macs on both Safari and Chrome and cannot generate a single PQ. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you
  3. About a week ago, the list of trackables in our inventory did not open up when we went to log a cache. For each cache, it is making me select the arrow to the right of "Trackables". Is there a setting that I am not aware of or a way to fix this?
  4. The problem went away as soon as we got back in the United States. I downloaded Cachly again and went to log into geocaching.com from there and it logged me in.
  5. I have been using Cachly for a long time, never ever having a problem with it. We are in Europe and have been using it for a month. One day, I got a message that our "token had expired" and we needed to log in again to geocaching.com. Every time I try to login to geocaching.com from Cachly's main screen I get: "oauth_error_token%20parameter%20cannot%be%20null%20or%20empty" This is happening on both our iPhone 7plus and our iPad. I have been in communication with Cachly support and they have been in touch with HQ and neither have been able to solved my problem. I have deleted Cachly and re-downloaded it several times. I have also cleared my history. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Our Profile picture has not changed in three years and shows up on our Profile and all logs that we post. In the past month, it has randomly disappeared, replaced by a blue "?". I keep editing the Profile and putting the picture back. In the next few days after that, it disappears again. We introduced a couple to geocaching last week. They put their picture and their first few logs out there. I have Messaged them a few times and their picture is there. This morning, I went to send them a message from the Message Center and their picture, like mine, has a blue "?" and not their picture. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to correct it? Thank you
  7. What are some of the GC codes where there is a blank space? Some times, this is the design of the puzzle. The example used was not a good one. I will look for another and post when I have time. How are you loading the cache into your gps? Basecamp Which gps are you using? eTrex30 What browser are you using? Tried Safari and Chrome Do you have any blocking add-ons? Do not think so, but will check. Thank you
  8. On a number of Mystery Caches that I look at on geocaching.com, the actual puzzle details do not show up. I get a huge blank space between the "Additional Hints" and "Finds". Can anyone help me to "solve this issue", no pun intended. Also, sometimes I do see the puzzle details. But when I load the cache onto my GPS, again the details of the puzzle are not downloaded. Thank you for any help with either of these issues.

  10. Geodarts: Hi - Please explain to me what the "plastic-in-the-case trick" is. I have always used the alkaline batteries up until now. The re-chargeable NiMH route is new to me. Thank you
  11. We bought an Oregon 600T last week to replace one of our two eTrex30's, which we love. Although the functionality and the touch screen are great on the Oregon, the battery situation is horrible. They do not last more than a few hours - should be up to 16. We set it on Battery Saver mode, but that does not help. Even 1 hour into fresh batteries while geocaching, we get the message that the batteries are too weak to use the backlight, even with 3 bars out of 4. After that the battery bars go from 3 to 2 to 1 to 3 to 2, etc- bouncing all over the place as time goes by - even when we are not using it much. We turned it off for an hour on the way home and it went back to 3 bars for a while when we checked at home. We turned it off overnight and it went back to 4 bars for a while in the morning, then 3 then 2 quickly. I am ready to send it back. As far as batteries, we use Amazon brand alkaline batteries. We have been using these in our eTre30's for years and have had no battery problems at all. Any insight from anyone on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Hi: My wife and I just started geocaching, after a friend and his wife who have over 4,000 finds introduced us to it. We have gathered 13 on our own, since we joined Geocaching.com a few weeks ago. Great fun. So much so that we wanted to upgrade to Premium Membership and did that today. In reading the information about its benefits, we saw that you can create a map of caches by also selecting types of caches as well as difficulties. I found out how to do it by types, but cannot find how to do it by difficulty. Can someone please tell me how to do that. Thanks a lot.
