  1. Hi - just reporting I had a similar problem, found the cure and now have a new problem. It started out with the Magellan Explorist 110 not being recognised when downloading to the GPS. The reply I received from Geocaching HQ is: "Thank you for contacting us. We have identified some compatibility issues between Internet Explorer and Geocaching.com. We are working to address these, but in the meantime you can take some steps to ensure that you have the optimal view of our site through IE. 1. Go to your Tools menu. 2. Click "Compatibility View Settings" and check "Display all Websites in Compatibility View". 3. Click "Close". Alternatively, you can access Geocaching.com through a different browser, such as Firefox or Chrome." I changed the compatibility view settings and all is working ok. My new problem is that I cannot get the GPS unit to load/accept/hold the files. Can anyone help me here?
  2. Hi to Gitchee-Gummee I had another look on the GPS and found the Degrees, decimal minutes. I am pretty sure that it wasn't an option that was there previously. Been out a few times and am getting much better using the GPS, certainly much more accurate - lol! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me. My thought on the manual is that it is very good at telling you what features it has, but a bit useless when it comes to linking the features together. For example, entering the geocache and then adding a waypoint. (I note that a few others also had this problem and the answer is in this forum). Never mind though, I am out in the wilderness hunting caches, seeing some beautiful scenery and not a practicing couch potato any more! Many thanks again.
  3. Hi to The A Team Thanks for that. I did get out there today and while it was much better, my waypoint still ended up way out to sea! Hoping for good weather again tomorrow to try again. I have adopted the changes - I assume (assuming anything with the GPS has been fraught with problems, I have found) that the Degrees, decimal minutes is the same as Degrees, decimal, which is what shows on the GPS unit. Cheers Minky61
  4. Hi thanks for the link to the site. I think I have worked out the problem - I was reading about GPS's and got inspired to select different settings. From the Settings/Navigation I am now set on: Coordinate system = Lat/Lon (I thought New Zealand would be the obvious option, but apparently not!), coordinate type = degree, coordinate accuracy = 1 meter, Map Datum = NZGD2000, north reference = True, altimeter source = GPS Hope its fine tommorrow so I can get out and test it!
  5. Hi - Having worked out where to enter the co-ordinates (at the "Coordinate Entry" screen), I cannot enter any information. Can anyone help with this please?
