Build it and they will come.

I used the keep the stats for Geocaching. I used to do it by going into individual cache pages where the highest density of caches were and looking at each cacher's total. The totals used to update more often then they do now on the individual cache pages.
Anyway, I had forgotten that I had created a forum on Delphi to track them.
Here is the link to the top cachers from July 16th, 2001.

Some might find it interesting. Heh.

Great idea, Mike. Looks like they implemented your suggestion. You rock!

Uh oh, I think I am in trouble. I replied to Marcus's post and I got this response:
Thank you for contributing to this forum. Your message has been put into a message queue due to one or more trigger words in your post.
If the moderators approve your post, then it will appear in the forum.
I really don't want to get banned from geocaching. Sometimes I just don't know when to keep my mouth shut.

Perhaps we can have a Flash Cache at a big mall and pretend that our GPS units are scanners and go around pointing them at people and moving them like some Star Trek medical scanner. Do it silently but pretend like you are taking copious notes. Do that for 10 minutes and then end the Flashmob and go get some grub and talk about it.

I know you young people think you are invincible, and maybe you are, but please reread the article:
"Even (for) experienced climbers or rappellers, I don't think this would be a good place for sport climbing," Long says. "It doesn't take very much to kill yourself down here."
Perhaps photos from the rim above would be most prudent.

Maybe we should study the topozone.com maps harder.
This thread says that the average age is 23 years old, and tells you how to check the age of the map of the quad you are looking at:

That course was taught by RCCDALE:

Perhaps he would be interested in teaching your Roseburg course.

Actually probably this one: GCB971

Okay, so what's the nearest cache to there?

Before they became REALLY huge, people never knew how to say Nike.

quote:
MENACED PRINCEPrince is a brand of tennis racquet.
that's gotta be it. The prince is being menaced by tennis balls. Must be a tennis court at that Nike facility or sumpin'.

In your quest I would urge you not to overlook the obvious here. Many of the numbers thrown out in the clues could be simply lat/long coords. This would be too obvious for us but remember most people don't own a GPS receiver.
For example, the clue:
A short stint
in seven and eight
led the place
to concentrate.
Perhaps these are the numbers that go in the thousandths place in the coords, as having those numbers would really narrow the search(concentrate as in narrow down).
Just throwing this out there...

Long pants, long socks, long sleeves, a hat, the best prevention is unexposed skin. Of course, not so desirable when its 98 degrees with 98 percent humidity, but what's worse, some sweat or some ticks? We report, you decide.

Thought this list was worth reposting.
I like earthamaps.com better than mapquest.com

You really can't have a discussion about virgin caches without mentioning this one:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=26414
It has been renamed "Spank My Red Virgin Butte"

Here's the one near San Francisco International Airport:

His name is Aron Ralston. It is a name worth remembering.

I have only read the forum and not researched this area, but almost every forum post refers to this as a wilderness area. If it is an official government "wilderness area" then I believe it is off limits to geocaching.

Just thought I would add that Lazyboy and Mitey Mite found their 500th cache today, and it was a difficulty 5/terrain 5 cache, The underwater scuba cache in Hawaii. CONGRATS YOU TWO !!
