  1. Some people really need to get a life.
  2. Are you sure? I would have said it was a Peru shirt too, so googled to check, and it is.
  3. Oops, forgot to add. Sygate firewall is also like AVG in that it won't allow USB connections to Active Sync with Windows XP. I tried everything when I had a Mio and it just won't allow it. My new device has an 'alternative connection method' that works with Sygate though.
  4. That's an easy one. Delete the folder called 2577 on your SD Card. If you're too wary to take my word for it, either just rename it or back it up before you delete it. When you boot Windows Mobile, it looks for install files in a folder called 2577 which is why this happens. Strange but true.
  5. As TBs come from the US anyway (well my last ones certainly did), maybe we should get Groundspeak to activate them before sending them to us when we order them. Then we would already have a few thousand miles in the bank before we start. In fact, they're probably made in the Far East somewhere anyway, so they probably have quite a few miles on the clock before they even get to Groundspeak.
  6. If you take paperless seriously & get a device like the one in my signature, then just connect to wifi/3g/GPRS/Edge, whatever available, and look at the cache page whilst out & about. It's only happened to me once and I used Starbucks' wifi, so it didn't even cost anything.
  7. Did they do a cover of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme tune together?
  8. Copy the map files over using a card reader rather than activesync & the MM software.
  9. 1 Are You Being Served 2 The Office 3 4 Allo Allo 5 6 The Brittas Empire 7 8 The Good Life (Someone, Jerry & Margo I think?) 9 10 That's the easiest ones done anyway
  10. Get yourself one of these then... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aquapac-Pro-Sports-C...1QQcmdZViewItem It's a snug fit, but the Kaiser does go in it nicely with some minor manipulation of the plastic. Believe it or not, I put my Mio a701 through the washing machine in one of these and it ws still on and working when i fished it out of my jacket pocket after the spin cycle!
  11. Yep. I better change my signature somethime I think
  12. I've not checked, but as long as it runs on Windows Mobile 6, then it will work.
  13. Well it's everything I hoped for and more. If you can afford one, then buy one. There is no better device currently in existance.
  14. What made you go for a Kaiser? The keyboard? That was one reason, but it can just do everything the Mio could and much much more. In fact, I can't think of a single thing I would want a PDA/Phone to do that it can't. It really is that good. If you can afford one (or get an upgrade from Orange), then go for it. You won't regret it.
  15. My a701 served me loyally, and on 10 Mar we will have spent 2 glorious years together. Sadly, she has to move aside for her slightly chubbier but far more capable friend Kaiser. I hope our time together is as fruitful. P.S. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then move along quietly and keep printing your cache pages
  16. Are we going for the oldest thread revival record here? 2yrs & 6weeks will take some beating
  17. The numbers come from Groundspeak and it is on the www.geocaching.com website where they are activated/tracked. I have never ordered any geocoins, but I assume Groundspeak would issue a batch of numbers to whoever initially orders the coins?
  18. You still have to buy the TB tags & activate them, but you could just put the tracking number on whatever you wanted to use. It's the number that's important, not the actual tags. Don't show the number in the picture on the TB page though! However, it does annoy me when people buy geocoins and just release a laminate card and keep the coin. They usually get a snotty email from me.
  19. I've just ordered one of these to replace my faithful Mio a701 that I've been using for 2 years. Looks like it is a pretty good device, comes well recommended. Will let you know how I get on with it.
  20. You are correct, however the person who posted has been suspended for a week for a breach of forum guidelines. Unfortunately this means that they will not be able to reply to this, or any other, thread. errm that means no one can confirm the answer for a week intermediate question how far can a dog run in the woods? You should reword it as.. how far can a dog run into the woods? A dog can run in the woods all day if it goes round in circles
  21. Put both the files in the zip into the folder on your PC where your other maps are, then open MM and press CTRL-M, then refresh map list. It should appear in there, then select it.
  22. Rather than email it to various people, I decided to upload it so anyone can grab it. You can find it here.. www.stevemurfin.com/junk/cyprus.zip Enjoy
  23. We live in Cyprus and own a few caches out here. If you use Memory Map, I have a pretty good calibrated map I could send you if you want it?
  24. Why not post the musical score and then they will have to get someone to play it for them
