Just to throw another log on the fire. I think its also important to point out that as there is are standardised methods of rating terrain then it is down to individuals to rate it as they see fit and as such it is very subjective. I have done a few caches in the lakes which have a 5 for terrain. I personally didn't find the terrain too bad and maybe would have only given it a 3-4 but then someone else may feel it to be totally justified. Oh yeah and weather makes a difference as some of these caches I would have given a 3-4 for in the summer really do become 5s in the winter! edited to sort out some of my spelling etc!

I'm watching this topic with interest. not sure how it will work at the moment but think it could be good.

I got that book a while ago and it is great. It has some really funny lines in it! I would love to visit all the places and find the nearest caches. so far though I have only managed one! I'm sure theres the oppotunity to create a bookmark list for someone with more time on their hands then me!!

mine arrived this morning it's mission is to go to Sidi Yahya El Gharb, Morocco but having a quick look it would seem that the nearest cache is 130km away. never mind i will drop off in a cache at some point over the weekend.

I had to change the location of two parts of one of my multis as they had gone missing. i only moved them less then 100m but had to change the first part of the cache as well to take into account the new co-ordinates. although i kept the same name and all parts were in the same general area i decided to post a note to say that to me it was basicaly a different cache so those that found the origonal could relog if they wish. so far two people have taken me up on this offer. i, as the cache placer/owner don't have a problem with this and they as the cache finders don't have aproblem with this so i don't see any issues for anyone else to get worked up about. i think this will be my last post on this thread as it seems to be going round in circles. some people want to go out enjoying the benifits of caching and play the game in a way which is acceptable to them (and many others) while others just seem to want to moan on the forums about things which don't really matter! as the generic reply goes 'everyone plays the game in their own way' this is one of the positives of the game but also one of it's downfalls it would seem. at the end of the day unless there are a comprehensive set of rules covering every eventuality (i am not calling for these!) you are going to get people who play the game in differen ways so i think we should except this, move on and go and hide/find some caches. pirate_matt out! edited to sort out some of the spelling mistakes.

I managed to forget to 'hide' the co-ordinates to the final cache on the page of one of my multis . It seemed to help the FTF!

my name appears on this list so I will explain. I went to do some maintence on one of my caches and so was going to post a note to say what i had done but accidently clicked on found instead! I changed the log to a note as soon as i realised what i had done but I am still on the list thanks I do and will continue to do so! if I have seen a coin/TB then I will log it. if I am able to help it's on it's way then I will log it as such. If I can't then I will log it as Discovered. this doesn't do any one else any harm and means I get the lovely icons!! If I go back to a cache (to pick up/drop off a coin or TB for instance) I alsways log as a note because I have already found it once! In general I agree with the comments that if people are logging their own caches or double logging just to push up their numbers then no one else is affected. i would rather see resources put into stopping those people who spoil the game/sport/hobby/past time (or what ever you would like to call it!) for other people! with regard to armchair caches. I think if you have gone to the effort of finding/solving them then you have just as much right to claim the find as any other caches. now dose anyone know if there is a list of them somewhere?! edited to add comment on armchair caches!

Both myself and Fiffnruss have some of our casino geocoins for trade (as well as some to sell!) you can see a picture of it on our profiles, they come in gold, silver and copper. I am open to any trade for an interesting looking coin and I'm sure fiffnruss will be too. thanks

no probs with the wait (I am sure my bank accont will appreciate it!) as to the changes I will echo everyone else in that you seem to know what you want so go for it! my only concern is that i would like to get a double dragon blank at the same time in order to save a little on postage. is this worth while or will all the doubles sell out before this is minted. i don't want to miss them?!?

Hi I'm in (if theres space)! The minibus idea sounds great and I am more then happy to pay my share if need be! i may even take a couple of days off work before hand and get in some 'warm up' walks/caches in Snowdoinia!

I would love to see one of these lovely shiny jeeps in Cumbria (esp in the south of the county) if any one is coming this way!!
