How many liciences do you get with blue chart americas? Is it like metro guide and you get 2 liciences or is it like topo and there are unlimited liciences? Thanks ajmrozin

I have (2) 76cx. I also have navigator 7. On my home desktop computer I can install maps on both units. One my laptop I can only install on the one unit. It says the other unit isnt unlocked. I try to download my unlock codes from garmin but they only show for the unit that works. If I try to unlock again it says I am out of liciences. Any ideas on how to fix it? Kinda of important as I am moving to denver this afternoon from michigan. That is the reason I am using my laptop for this as my desktop is packed up. thanks ajmrozin

Thanks for the site. I have a 76cs right now. I always have a spare compass with me when I go out and the altimeter doesnt really excite me. The cx over the csx is about 50 bucks cheaper. The 76 also floats and I use it in the boat and on the river quite a bit. The rebate is only good for the 76 so it is cheaper then the 60 (after the rebate). Since I already have a 76 I dont have to buy new mounts for it. The 76 also comes with a bigger chip, I know I could upgrade and will down the road but right now 128 will do. ajmrozin

Where is the cheapest 76cx? The best I found was gpscity and if i buy something cheap like batteries i get free shipping. Gpscity sells it for 399.95 and free shipping at 400. Anybody know anyplace cheaper? thanks ajmrozin

I have a like new (5 months old) 76CS. The orginal box along with the included stuff (usb cable, software, laynard, etc.) and a copy of city select north america v7. If I sell this, what should I expect to get for it? thanks ajmrozin

The 76 float while the 60 sink. Not a big deal if you dont use it in a boat. For me that was a huge selling point. The 76 also has tide charts while the 60 doesnt. Not a big deal for me but might be for some. ajmrozin

I need the auto route. I am moving from hicktown michigan to denver in about a month. I have never been to denver so I need something to tell me how to get home. This brings up another question. What is the difference between all the road mapping software from garmin. city navigator and city select. I now know that metro guide is out but what is the difference between the other two packages. thanks ajmrozin

I want to upgrade to a 76csx over my 76cs due to the greater recption and the increased memory but am second guessing it due to me have to buy new mapsourse liciences. I can live with out the extra memory but was wondering if I added an external antenna (like the gpsoutiftters titan 3) to my 76cs would I get similiar performance to that of 76csx. I also like the fact that I can hook the antenna to my backpack when hunting and my gps wouldnt loose siginal vs when I put it in my coat or backpack. For the $45 it would cost for the antenna I would be saving alot of money when compared to what it would cost for me to buy new software and a new unit. I dont have any experience with the external antenna so any advice at all even about a different model would be appericated. thanks ajmrozin

If that is the case you would be better off to buy a new copy of the software and get 2 liciences ajmrozin

I have mapsouse city select north america v7 and topo us. I have it on my 60cs and my 76cs. I am considering selling one or both and buying a 76csx. So I have used both liciences. I see that you can delete the unlock codes. So can I delete one of the unlock codes and then reinstall a new unlock code with the new unit? That way I dont have to buy new software but I still only have the maps on 2 units. I called garmin and waited on hold for 20 minutes. I talked to some girl who asked why i have 2 units in the first place and then said you should only have one unit at a time and that would fix my problem. I asked about the unlock code and she said she didnt know and then hung up. I am not sure if she tried to transfer me or if she didnt know so she hung up but she didnt sound very informed. I wasnt going to call again and wait another 20 minutes. Does anybody know the answer here? Thanks ajmrozin
