  5. I have good luck with the following: IMac G5 1.8 GHz OSX 10.4.10 Garmin GPSmap 60cx Palm zire 21 GPSBabel MacCMConvert cachemate LoadMyTracks TOPO!
  6. PM me about specifics . I can either give you a good answer or point you in the right direction. I really hate to see caches placed improperly or without the proper permission ( if required)
  7. Yes, altho trying to get a missing and abandoned cache archived seems to be quite difficult in my area. I understand. but I asked about legal urbans. Is there anyone in the caching community up there ( I'm guessing Phoenix) complaining & policing about illegal urbans. ( I really don't care about size) Yes regarding policing of illegal caches. I know of several cachers, including myself, who have done so. Illegal caches are not limited to urban caches. Your right about illegal being not limited to urban. I just only see anyone being called out on the wilderness or BLM caches. Its like the urban ones get a pass when its a pretty good chance they are not cool

  9. agreed. and the caching group down here is very quick to let some one know when they are setting a cache in a wilderness area or a BLM area are that is off limits. are there any local cachers anywhere making sure the urbans are legal?
  10. QUOTE(Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking @ Sep 10 2007, 07:21 PM) It seems like y'all wont be happy until all urban micros go away, then you can only find the regular sized cache in back dirt roads or mountain hikes. It was like this with virtuals too, and now they are gone. I hope the same fate isnt in store for urban micros. I think the next big issue in this game is going to be a trespassing issue. and it will be urban. My 1st day of caching was urban micros.I almost decided this was a great way to get arrested or at a minimum hassled.
  11. I think if I'm going to SOCAL or NJ. I'm going to ask TrailGators or Briansnat for local must do caches. For some reason I don't think I could go wrong
  12. I don't want to convert from windoze to My Mac. I don't have windoze. Let me know when Garmin says Mac they mean Mac. Not some silly windoze convert. I dunno, I almost feel insulted after all these next quarter, next quarter, next quarter promises from Garmin. I just bought NG TOPO! because I got tired of waiting /Rant
  13. you asked for beta testers months ago.I tried it and tried to submit feedback. this is the 1st time I've seen you post since then. what be the deal?
  14. They are generally people that you loan money, but figure you'll never see it again. At least thats how it seems to work for me
  15. no prob. just click the underlined word here
  16. I know what you mean. I gave up on waiting for Garmin to support the Mac. I went and purchased National Geographic Topo! a couple of weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it

  19. while I agree with this post , I don't see a fence being properly monitered and maintained. Look at the gallery of this cache.
  20. Just for the record, the original purpose of the Berlin Wall was to keep the subjects in, not keep them out. We wouldn't want the facts interfering with someone's assertion. If a wall costs less than the hundreds of billions we are losing I am all for it. It doesn't seem like anything else has been able to stop it. just to stay way off topic... a wall? 15' wall... 16' ladder. and the tunnels work well here too. I know the system we have now really sucks, but as long as an person wants to make their life better and risk their life to do it,I don't think it can be stopped. and I kind of admire that. at least a thousand dead in the sonoran desert here since 2000... think about it, is this a problem a wall can solve?
  21. That's a bit over the top. Look at it from the other side Mexico extradites people to the U.S. all the time. We extradite people to Mexico all the time. I think all heck would break loose here if a private Mexican citizen grabbed someone here to take back to Mexico without due process. It's called kidnapping. this is getting pretty far OT
