  1. Is my Magellan Gold capable of giving this track info. I am real interested in the speed info. I wasn't aware it stored that too.
  2. I think every group has a few people in it that really don't fit anywhere else in sociaty. I have been Georging since Feb of this year. I now rank 6th in Nebraska. Even with this rank, only 10% of my bills have been hit. Most bills you will come across will only have the one hit on them. I have never thought about placing a bill that I haddn't started. I need to think about that. I tend to leave crisp $2 bills. For the record, I have had several bills taken from cach's and have yet to recieve a hit off them. As a result of some of the "Anal" Georgers I learned about this hobby and my son and I have found they go well together. I guess we can take something positive from the idiots of this world. As far as to what you do with that marked bill. It's totally up to you. I personally enter the bills. I hav e yet to carry a bill from one ammo box to another, but that's just me. I do have to add that it is a kick in the pants to see where these thinks end up. BTW, I paid for my Magellan Gold with marked bills. Told you they go together! Happy hunting!
  3. When my son and I go out to find a site, our goal is to find the site. If we were in it for the valuable goodies inside, I would have given up long ago. Didn't I read that you can "take something-leave something" or "Take nothing at all"?
  4. quote:Originally posted by BassoonPilot: quote:Originally posted by maxxer: The 2002 season is about to begin and I'm not sure of the best way to address this concern. The last thing we want to do is place any geocachers at risk, or upset an avid hunter. Does that "avid hunter" have any more right to use the area than the geocacher, or anyone else? I for one would tend to respect the rights of the hunter. To me it's not a matter of who has more of a right then the other. The fact that most hunters can only hunt for a few short weeks and I can goehunt all year long. Hunters alos pay dearly for the privalege to hunt and the fees they pay contribute greatly to wildlife conservation. The last thing is I prefer my son or I not to accidently take a wild slug for any reason. We ask the public to be respectfull and helpful in our hobbies, I think we can extend the same to hunters for the few weeks they can pursue thiers.
  5. I see you can get a cable with a 9 pin serial end, but does anyone have one in USB? My laptop has only usb connections. Any ideas?
