  1. Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for but somehow missed. Might explain why I have so many dnfs.
  2. In the process of placing a new geocache I downloaded some photos to use on the cache page. I have since changed the size of the photo and would like to delete the original from the cache gallery. Have looked and looked but I can't find out how to do this. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
  3. Recently whenever I bring up the geocaching map the side panel opens from the left of the screen. Is there a way to turn off this feature? Thanks.
  4. I am having a problem with ads on the geocaching pages displaying ads. While scrolling through a cache listing the ad causes the page to jump from where I am, back to the ad. At times I am not able to read a page, description or logs because of this annoying behavior.
  5. I got it to work on Chrome with a value of -275. Thanks.
  6. I have yet to see that in the few geoart cache runs I have done. Very few trails in the sagebrush areas I've been to. If it weren't for the gpsr, I wouldn't be able to find my way back to the car let alone find a geocache. May be different in a more populated area.
  7. WeeWillie said- Why do you feel it violates the intent of geocaching?
  8. I'm with Rhodo Dendron. I like how easy the new search finds what I'm looking for, but with no way to download the results, what use is it to me? Pocket queries are nice but awkward. If there are a lot of caches in the area, many will be skipped.
  9. Or if you feel more comfortable writing things out by hand and entering in the gpsr as you go, you could make a note of the gc number of the cache next to the cache name, which is what I did before I finally got a gpsr that worked with the download feature.
  10. Now this is confusing. From a couple of years ago Groundspeak said- In our effort to inspire outdoor play through Geocaching, we are often faced with decisions about what to focus on next, and what to focus on less. It is through these decisions that we explore opportunities to grow the global game of geocaching. Occasionally, during this process, we are faced with the reality that certain ideas don’t catch on as we had hoped. In these situations we owe it to ourselves and to you to make tough decisions about the future of every project and the resources to be applied to each. Sometimes, as a result, cool features must become casualties. In this spirit, we have decided to retire Geocaching Challenges. This means that, effective today, we have disabled the ability to create new Challenges. We have also removed the Challenges application from all mobile application stores. In approximately 7 days, we will be removing all traces of the Challenges functionality and related content from Geocaching.com. Is there a difference from the challenge caches and what Groundspeak is talking about here? I have noticed a lot of challenge caches have been showing up here, most of them I'll never be able to accomplish as they are being placed by a couple of cachers with over 50,000 finds each.
  11. I would like to know if there is a way to search for a geocache using two or more parameters, i.e. find all geocaches that have the word 'two' in them that are within 50 miles of my home. Or search for all mystery caches made by a certain cacher in a location. Any ideas? Thanks.
