Thank you, with the help in this thread and freightyard I was able to load the "old software" on my new machine. Magellan support for this product is non existent, glad to find this, I thought I was going to have find some old computer and make it's sole purpose running Topo 3D

There is a patch available that allows the Topo 3D to run without disc 3, this might work for you. I've been using Topo 3D without having to put disc 3 in ever since running the fix http://freightyard.net/projects/MagellanGPS/

I'm looking for something that can convert the Magellan Explorist XL format files into the older Mapsend Topo, as well as Garmin into Magellan. I'm using the Explorist XL and he has the Garmin 76CS and I want to be able to share and convert tracks

I thought he called it AnyGps, the one you listed doesn't sound correct, maybe the EasyGPS that Klatch posted. It's supposed to offer a free trial version with limited ability, and a full paid version.

I'm looking for a software program that is capable of converting files. A friend was telling me about something he has but I can't find anything and he's out of town for the Thanksgiving. Is anyone familiar with a product called AnyGps or close to that? If so, do you have a link to it? I've searched the forum as well as google without any luck.

I got an XL for Christmas along with the Topo 3D. I use the GPS for recreation so the actual roads don't matter to me, but the topo is really important. When I went to load the 3D the first of 3 discs was empty. I've been trying since December 24th to get it working and Magellan customer support is worse than Doc stated. I now own a very nice GPS and no basemap or software for it. I sold a perfectly good Garmin and I'm having serious regrets.
