  1. I have been away from GC for a few years due to my late husbands illness and now I want to start again. I found some TBs in my Geocaching box of tricks but I have completely forgotten how to use them. Sorry if this isn’t part of the conversation here, but I can’t seem to find instructions elsewhere.
  2. I also love to use my Iphone 5 App, but there have been times when I cannot get a signal, and these are the times I want a GPS... so I bought a Garmin Etrex 20 which downloads Geocache Pocket Queries...these are very good but at the moment I only get a white background when navigating to a cache,with a dor for where the cache is, and an arrow for where I am and that's it! But I am still learning how to use it, and am now looking for a decent (free) Australian based map to install. I believe once I do that I will then get a topographical map while navigating, just like the Iphone app. If I'm wrong in that, please tell me, because I'm not sure :-}
  3. You can cross off #4, there is a way to do this in the official app. While navigating to a cache, tap the flag icon in the upper right hand corner, next to the compass button. Input your new coordinates and hit "Done". A flag will show up on the map at the new waypoint. Tap on it, select "Set as Target". Off you go! I send you wholehearted thanks for the above - I was tearing my hair out not knowing how to input co-ords not only in the IPhone5 GeoApp, but also in Iphone MapsApp. Now I can forget trying with the mapsApp. Geo App is my only Geocache hunting tool, and I had almost decided to just ignore offset caches, or puzzles, anything that required manual co-ords input. Thanks to the valuable info you have provided, this side of Geocaching can now be open to me:-)
