Anyone care to comment on how well the Hcx compass works? I seem to remember people complaining about the sensitivity of the 60csx compass, as it had to be held perfectly level (supposedly) to get an accurate reading. Is the Hcx any different?

For all you long-time Garmin-watchers: What is the average introduction rate of their new models or model upgrades? I have a Garmin Etrex Legend which I am still happy with, but with all this talk of the expandable-memory X units I'm getting a bit curious about upgrading. However I've always been wary of being on the 'bleeding edge' of new tech, so I'm inclined to wait until the next generation/hardware version of the SIRF/X units. So is there any scuttlebutt or company trends that might clue us in? Thanks! Dev P.S. I should have put a question mark after the topic title, but I can't seem to edit the title.
