  1. I am looking for a "mouse" type GPS receiver for my IPAQ rx 1950, but can't seem to locate one that has the correct cable end. My IPAQ runs Windows Mobile 5 but is not bluetooth capable. Am I correct in thinking that if I use one of these receivers through my IPAQ (if I can find a compatible one) and purchase software like Backcountry Navigator, I can use my IPAQ for navigation and pocket querie- paperless cacheing? Thanks in advance for your help.
  2. Hey Exocet, thanks for the tip! I mainly use City Nav8 and I just got USA Topo. I was hoping there was a better way to switch back and forth without having to select/deselect individual maps. Many thanks for sharing your discovery.
  3. Yeah, same kinda thing happened to me except ALL of my pocket querie files are gone! They were located on the storage card and cannot be located using file explorer. I have an IPAQ running Windows Mobile 5. HELP!
  4. I'm using GPX Sonar (in conjunction with GSAK) on a HPrx1950 pocket pc running Windows Mobile5. I'm hooked on paperless caching but I have 2 minor issues within GPX Sonar that I can't seem to reslove. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 1. When I open a loaded cache file in my pocket pc, any photos that appear in the file on GSAK show as a missing graphic (white box with a red x). 2. The "distance from center" value is not valid, even after resetting the center coords and distance units from the "list" menu. These are minor issues that I can live with but if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  5. After digging deeper into the GPX Sonar forums, I discovered this tip from another post and it works: Run file explorer ( start/programs/file explorer ) Select my device, then tap the program files, then gpxsonar folders. (You should see the config folder in there, along with Docs and Export) If it's not there, tap and hold in the blank area of the window, and select new folder. Then rename the new folder to Config. Now I just have to try to remember what trade items I put in which caches over the weekend Thanks for your input.
  6. I've started using GPX Sonar (v. 1.4) on my IPAQ rx1950 (windows mobile 5) and I like it alot, but after I create a field note, it disappears as soon as I switch to another program on my PPC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I have been able to buy various sizes of Lock & Lock containers at Walmart. If you're buying the tall rectangular size, check the corners of the container for cracks. Had to return one and found more on the shelf that were cracked.
  8. Garmin MAP60Csx My first GPS...I think I chose wisely.
