  1. Please send an email to contact@geocaching.com with your PayPal Subscription number (S-#) and a description of the issue. This will allow us to investigate further.
  2. All of the Travel Bugs have been distributed so your only option is to find one in the wild. Good luck!
  3. Also, if you own any caches or trackable items we have a page for transferring ownership... http://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ Though, you will want to get in touch with your local reviewer prior to transferring any caches.
  4. Did you create two different PayPal Subscriptions or just send two email payments? If you created an extra Subscription, you will need to cancel it and let me know the Transaction ID for the payment it made on your behalf so I can investigate further. If you just sent an extra email payment, I'll need the Transaction ID for that payment. To cancel an Active Subscription: 1. Log in to your PayPal account 2. Click on the History subtab 3. Choose the Subscriptions field from the Show drop-down menu 4. Check the From box and change the date back 2 years (or approximately the date you created your subscription) 5. Click Search 6. To view the details of a specific Subscription Creation, click Details in the Details column 7. At the bottom of this page, click Cancel Subscription 8. On the confirmation page, click Confirm.
  5. Since the issue you described is native to the computer in question, I'm limited in the options I can suggest for you to try... -- Completely log off, close the web browser, restart the computer. -- Try another web browser. -- Clear out any temporary Internet files. -- Clear out any cookies. -- Disable any security software. -- Ensure your browser is allowing cookies for our web site. -- Lowering your Internet security options. -- Try it from another computer entirely. I hope this helps!
  6. There is also a banner on the home page that'll take you to http://portal.Groundspeak.com/blogs/howto/...Membership.aspx.

    Stat Box

http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?t...72b79f&bg=1 In the sample URL above replace the digits that appear after "uid=" with your gc.com profile ID. Your UID is available by clicking on a cache log. Your UID will be in your browser's Address box. You can add whatever text you desire after the "&txt=", but you must remember to replace spaces with the plus sign "+". See the sample above. You can change the logo displayed by changing the number after the "&bg=" followed by a number from 1 to ? the image changes. &bg=1 image is the geocaching.com logo &bg=2 image is Signal the frog Many Community organizations have a listed logo also, please check with your local organization to find out their number.
  8. One option with PayPal that doesn't require a credit card, is to send us what's called an "instant" payment. Keep in mind, that if you use a checking account for the funds, it could take a few days to clear your account. Regardless of where the funds come from, you will need to let us know when the funds have cleared as we aren't automatically notified. You will want to $30 in US FUNDS to paypal@Groundspeak.com I hope this helps!
  9. This usually occurs when the location information entered is incorrect or in a weird format. This can be a couple of things. It's usually related to the web brower. Also, you want to make sure you are entering the information from the CAPTCHA image into the field below it.
  10. My understanding of the initial concept was that there was to be an event held for people with interests in geocoins... Period. It wasn't to be geared towards any certain facet of coins. That means that traders, manufacturers, vendors, *cough* poker players *cough*, et al were all welcomed to attend. This in and of itself doesn't dictate attendee size, span of days nor activities. However, I also understand that as with the MWGB and other well-run events, activities could and should be planned for those that need structure. So far, I'm not seeing any dictation from those that are running the show here. I guess I would expect to see people on this committee to step up and say "here's what will happen, here's what could happen and here's what won't happen". That way, those that can't play well with others can start there own thread and move along. I certainly don't envy the committee members at this point, as this thread seems to be bouncing around left and right. Of course, these are just my opinions... I could be wrong.
  11. From what I understand the well-known, larger properties are not included. These hotels are close to the Wynne. That's about all I can tell you. And just like me, you can stay wherever you want. I know I'll most likely be at Ballys where I have comps eccrued and can stay for free. Can someone get some room quotes from various locations down there? How about a discount if a certain number of rooms in a specific hotel are filled by event attendees?
  12. There are various causes for this. Anytime you have issues like this, please send an email to contact@geocaching.com and I'll do my best to fix you up. Please note that due to the issue related to AOL emails, the wait time on a response is currently longer than normal.
  13. Hi Plingan, I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing and apologize for any frustrations. When you enter your PayPal subscription number on 'http://www.geocaching.com/subscribe', do you receive an error message? If so, I would love for you to shoot me an email with the details. You will want to send the email to contact@geocaching.com and in the subject, feel free to put it to my attention (ATTN ERIC). I'm sorry that the response time you are expecting hasn't been fast enough. We have limited support staff and I'm doing the best that I can to stay on top of the emails. Eric
