  3. You should both contact Groundspeak directly to pursue a solution. Fire off an email to contact@Groundspeak.com and include your Transaction ID's from PayPal.
  4. You'll need to fire off an email to contact@geocaching.com with all the relevant payment information. Once we have that information, we can look into it for you.
  5. Chances are, if you have two charges for a Premium Membership then you are using PayPal. If this is the case, you will need to contact PayPal as it is their Subscription service making payments on your behalf in lieu of Groundspeak charging you. Else, if you went through the Groundspeak Store, please send an email to contact@geocaching.com with your Store Order #.

  7. Try having a code sent to your email via this page http://www.geocaching.com/v/send.aspx When applying your code, it's recommended to copy and paste it instead of typing it by hand. If that fails, fire off an email to contact@geocaching.com from the email address registered to your geocaching.com username.

  9. I have one and have used it while geocaching. It does not have GPS. It's what I would call 'GPS lite'. Meaning, it's the closest thing to GPS without actually having GPS. Here's a thread from a little while back that you might find useful. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=168681 I've had mine since launch (was at Pacific Place for 4 hours) and am always willing to answer questions or just talk about this wonderful device.

  11. The answer depends on how you set up your PayPal account to pay for it. For example, if you use a credit card to pay for it PayPal will make payments until that card expires. When it expires, PayPal will cancel the Subscription and it'll be time for you to start a new PayPal Subscription.
  12. PayPal doesn't allow for a change in Subscription terms. Instead, you will need to create a new PayPal Subscription. Just before your PM expires, you can jump-start the process from this page http://www.geocaching.com/subscribe
  13. This is something peculiar with PayPal that happens from time to time. Send contact@geocaching.com an email about it from the email address in your profile. Additionally, make sure you include the S-#.
  14. If you would like to cancel your PayPal subscription, you will need to log in to your PayPal account. A PayPal subscription can be canceled up until the day of the next scheduled payment. To cancel a renewing PayPal Subscription: 1. Log in to your PayPal account 2. Click on the History subtab 3. Choose the Subscriptions field from the Show drop-down menu 4. Check the From box and change the date back 2 years (or approximately the date you created your subscription) 5. Click Search 6. To view the details of a specific Subscription Creation, click Details in the Details column 7. At the bottom of this page, click Cancel Subscription 8. On the confirmation page, click Confirm.

  17. If the cache name has an ampersand (this thing &) in the name, that can cause this error. It's a known bug and we're working on it.
  18. If you purchased through the Groundspeak Store, it takes up to two business days for your order to be fulfilled. You can check to see if it has been applied, by logging into your profile page and clicking the "Member Features" link.
  19. This is just a guess, but I'm wondering if maybe that character in the name is causing the plug-in to have issues.

  22. Actually, it's not. When it comes to using PayPal, Groundspeak does not control the payment method. This part is completely up to you. I can't speak to the issue regarding a credit card, however if PayPal requires it there is nothing we can do. I have to wonder if you can pickup a pre-paid card and use it to back-up your checking account as the primary payment method. Not something I can provide support for, but it's an idea and something you can try.
  23. No issues at all. I just started this thread in Off Topic to see if anyone else had noticed this feature and if they also had "No Friends" or maybe a pending one and did not know of it. It was meant to be a light-hearted thread that would maybe spark some funny answers. But, while I have your attention.... Now, what happens...do I get E-mail every time they log anything? Or post on the forums? Or do they? Or is it just to have easy access to them? I am sorry if I am a bit late with such questions or if it sounds rather stupid. Just wondering. Shirley~ Say you have fired off a friend request and they have accepted. You will then be able to see them listed in your friends list. Here's an example from one of my friends: Member Since: 10/23/2004 Last Online: 8/2/2007 Title: Groundspeak Lackey Location: Seattle, Washington Found: 165 Hidden: 0 So you can see basic information about them, but also have quick access to their profile.
  24. Think of the Friends feature as social networking on the web site. By having "friends", it makes it easier for you to watch their geoaching activities and contact through the web site. Is there an issue with this feature you need to be resolved?
  25. You can remove your PQ's via the checkboxes to the left and the archive trashcan icon at the bottom.
