  1. This sounds totally cool tool! I am a mystery cache newbie and I thought I would see if my coordinates are correct (as recommended in the article), but I can't find it on the site to check my coordinates with and there is no link on the cache's page. Suggestions?
  2. Thank you RED90! I knew I had seen it somewhere, but I couldn't figure it out again. Happy Hunting!
  3. I cannot download to my eTrex10 any more. I am a Mac user and I mainly use Chrome and Firefox, but for some reason they do not acknowledge my Garmin any more. Can anybody help me?
  4. It would be great if the large geocache map also showed your Did Not Finds. This would allow someone to go back and try it another time or even if there was a way to look at all their Did Not Finds to see what aspect of caching is giving them a hard time. Just a thought Thanks, John
  5. cwgrizz - thanks again for the help. I downloaded Basecamp and that helped me manage things. NOw I just need to explore and find out how it works and read the Wiki. Thanks again everybody.
  6. Thank you cwgrizz any help is welcome and as numerous as you want to post it doesn't bother me. I just appreciate the helpfulness of the community.
  7. Thank you I will give that a try tonight. I knew I needed a GPS for dummies class!
  8. Tom - I wasn't able to find that on my e10, but who knows I will keep looking. cwgrizz - The thing is no software came with my Garmin that I can find and even the downloadable manual is vague on how to do things. I will have to check the little box again to see if it had anything in it that I missed. After a little looking I am using the Garmin Communicator and since it is an add on to my browser I can't really find any information on how it works or accessing things on it. Is there a GPS for dummies out there? Thank you for the help on my "mission impossible"
  9. I just started geocaching three months ago so I am very new, but the family is having fun. I have run into an issue with my Garmin and I am hoping someone can help me out. I have downloaded some caches to find around town and than started downloading ones for our trip, but they do not all show up. It is like my cache "inbox" is full. If this is the case does anybody know how many caches an e10 can display? How can you delete a cache from your search list, we have not always found all of them as we pass through an area being new? Is there a way to get ones off the display that have been labeled as "Did not find" so there is more room on the display? Thank you for your help. I love my Garmin except the fact that the manual is sub-par. John
  10. Thank you everybody for your help. I will have to see what I can get for the Nuvi and than look into one of the ones you suggested. It is nice to know that there are such helpful people around to help us NEWBIES or as I see here Tadpoles.
  11. Thanks for the information alandb. There is a possibility that I could return this one for a more cache friendly one. Any suggestions? I know that there are multiple reviews on the site which I have been looking over, but all I am looking for is a basic model that I can easily find a cache and possibly have my kids/wife learn to run. It is no fun if Dad runs with it all the time.
  12. I got a nuvi40lm for Christmas and was hoping to do geocaching with it, but I know nothing about either. Can I use this for Geocaching? How do I get things on the GPS? The directions are really confusing in the manual because they only relate to car travel. I am hoping this great community can help me out. I have a 6 and 3 year old that love hiking and I thought this would be a great family activity. Thanks in advance
