About 2 months ago I posted that I was working on a geocaching
workshop for Girl Scout Totem Council's Pathways event. I just got
word that registrations have closed and I have 25 leaders (full class)
signed up for the event and lots and lots of folks asking questions
about Geocaching! (I plugged geocaching at our last outdoor weekend)
So I am looking for help and will provide snacks and prizes! There
will be ~3 traditional letterboxes and ~5 geocaches of various types,
so you can come early and find the caches and then train others to
develop their 'cacher frame of mind' or hang out at the Geocaching
display and pass out tattoos (geocaching of course) and answer
questions about geocaching and how it works. (The booth is one of the
letterbox/multi-cache stops.)
I could use 5-7 GPS units either attached to cachers or just to borrow
and at least 1-2 people at the booth. I have one Cadette Girl Scout
who wants to base her Silver Award around Geocaching so I would love
for her to get to know all of the fine WSGA cacher so she can get some
ideas from y'all.
