  1. I'm in the middle of the exact same project. I got the UPS Tracking# for my Palm TX that should arrive at the end of the week. I have pocket queries set up for my home circle, and I have them loaded into GSAK. So far so good. CacheMate is my next step. I also think I need some sort of Mapping in my palm, since my GPS doesn't have street level mapping, and I usually print a MapQuest map of the general cache area with my cache sheet. I use that map to get me to the general area. Someone told me that Mapopolis for Palm OS will work. I'm waiting to get my Palm & go from there.
  2. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...6b-40d93f2717e1 This cache is full sized and is stuck in a bush near a flag pole in a park along the expressway service drive. It is big enough for those stuffed animal TB's that surface now & again. There is a bunch of kids type swag & cachers love to find it. After days of micros, and now nano's, it is like a breath of fresh air to find that big plastic bowl! Happy Caching!
  3. I travel to different cities and states and I found that the gc map with the checks is a great tool, especially when I'm going back into the area and want to find a few more caches. During the summer I had the problem where my activity was not working on the gc map. I really missed it, and was very glad when it was correct once again. I also like to goto a cache to start my search, and then goto google map with geocaching. I then drag down the highway my path and bookmark caches along the way. I find it a very satisfying way to seek caches in unknown areas and when planning my travel agenda.
  4. The doctor said I needed exercise for BP control! So I started walking about the same time I discovered geocaching. My BP is excellent, I'm feeling stronger and less winded. I have been to parks and places I never knew existed, and some of them are very close to my home circle. I have met a community of good people. It has turned ordinary travel for work and long nights in a strange hotel or city into an opportunity to discover someplace new. I love the attributes that geocaching has brought to my days.
  5. I think you have a very clever idea here. I don't know about requiring a hide to get the find, but I have a generous sized snap-lok container that could host some very nice starter cache containers. I live in an urban setting, and it is just too easy to slap a mag key holder in place and run. I like the challenge of getting small & regular containers to work...it makes a day of caching more interesting. --Cindypray
