I have a SporTrak Pro with the NA basemaps. I am looking for both basemaps and street maps for Western Europe. I asked Magellan about basemaps. Here's what I was sent: --- "Dear Magellan Customer, You would need to purchase a SD memory card and the MapSend WorldWide Basemap that will include base maps for the Western Europe, i.e major roads/highways and major cities. For more information about Mapsend WorldWide, please click use the link below. http://www.magellangps.com/en/products/pro...RODID=182" --- Why would you need the SD card for the basemaps, since I've got lots of unused memory already? Also, there is also the Europe MapSend Streets at http://www.magellangps.com/en/products/pro....asp?PRODID=112 Do you need to have the European Basemap in order to use the Europe Mapsend? What is the result if you have the MapSend but not basemap?

I have a Sportrak Pro which I have had for just under a year. I recently cracked the glass on the display (my fault). The unit appeared to work OK, but I was worried about moisture. I contacted Magellan and they quoted me $45 plus shipping to replace the glass and case. I sent it in and had it back in 10 days total. (I mailed it USPS Priority on a Tues, they got it on Thurs, they shipped it back UPS on Tues, and I got it on Friday.) It is indeed my same unit as the Serial Nos match. They updated the firmware, etc., and included a few goodies.

I have found the accuracy of my Sportrak Pro to be enhanced when I do the following: Allow it to average a few minutes in 3D mode. Look at the altitude. Then set it to 2D using that altitude. It will initially jump a few meters then settle down with much greater accuracy. This works great for finding caches, etc. Of course once you start moving again, you will need to return it to 3D.

I have a Sportrak Pro and upgraded the FW to 3.02. I then downloaded the Magellan basemap as described in the previous post (NA Land 1.03). The magup.exe upload program finds the receiver, then fails with the error message "Incorrect Upload Package for Unit".
