13 ticks sounds terrible. You're a brave soul. I live in the San Francisco bay area, and I've had a very hard time with ticks this year. I've made a habit of doing a thorough inspection after every outing, and I've had to pull off a good half-dozen ticks over the last few months. Anyone know about the prevalence of Lyme disease in the SF area?
