    Is anyone worried that once again it looks like we're going to run out of waypoints? We've only got 10 more 3rd place characters left (GC[N,P,Q,R,T,V,W,X,Y,Z]???) until we're out.

    What then?

    Ok - we have been trying for ages to get something together so here is a suggestion.

     

    How about a pub meet 26th or 27th of March.

     

    I haven't found a location yet but was thinking of just organising a meet around lunchtime then people can either cache before or after lunch? If people want to set new caches for the event then we can make those available too.

     

    What do you think?

    Both good for me (though the Sunday is slightly better) - you've picked days in my easter holiday from uni.

    Firstly great idea!  This will be really interesting.

     

    Second, woooooooaaahhhhhhhhhh, STOP! Like all great ideas that become great things, this one need more planning than it's getting at the moment.  I susupect that if you carry on with it like it is now, it will become unmaintainable.

     

    I'm presuming that as the pages are appearing one at a time that they are manuall generated static pages?  If so, you are going to get bored very quickly.  I suggest some sort of php/mysql solution, which really will not take TOO much development.  If I wasn't off to Sweden monday, I'd volunteer, I'm sure someone else will.

     

    Another suggestion if I may, those areas with no links as yet, why not make them links to multimap/streetmap?

    I get the feeling this would be a superb GCSE ICT project. There was a comment on the examiners annual report that they wanted to see more on-line database driven solutions!

    Don't you think it's a bit complicated for GCSE students? :rolleyes:
