  1. The Magellan SporTrak Yellow base model. The software and signal on it are brilliant but unscrewing the batteries is one big pain! MarcB
  2. "Took log book, left nothing" Not me by the way... MarcB
  3. Over 7000 of those miles by me! I thought it was lost when Samurai Warror took it although this meant it came back to the UK and is now in South Africa! Pretty darn good! How are the other bugs incased in plastic doing? MarcB
  4. lol That sounds like the one! MarcB
  5. Hmm I'm 100% sure it wasn't me. At the time we met up there were 3 (+1 which had a specific destination which doesn't count here) travel bugs in the car. I took two and would say that the womble wasn't the one left (although perhaps Mark can remember). MarcB
  6. We didn't take a picture when we went (if that helps anyone!) MarcB
  7. I'm very proud to say I must have an unique story! Back in 2002 I was on a puzzle website which involved some encrypted text. Me being a lazy begger copyed the text into Google but ended up with nothing back. Then I pasted "cbyvpr" into the search engine which got me this... Result and what should be the first result but this page... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=4972 ...where in one log someone had encrypted the word "police" (which is "cbyvpr"). Intrigued by this I investigated the site and found out that "Geocaching" sounded good fun! Looking back, this is a great example of how the smallest of things can change your life... MarcB
  8. I don't know that but Bimbo Barbie must be one of the first Travel Bugs (v.low ID number). In the USA she is so infamous I actually had an email of someone saying how lucky I was! Shame it's a dolly though! MarcB
  9. Ah yes Bimbo Barbie! We have met before... MarcB
  10. I really can't see any point *whatsoever* in cheating. I'd be surprised if anyone does it... MarcB
  11. Go Subarite! He seems to have two bases in the UK- one down Winchester way and another here in the midlands, he's placed some great caches too. MarcB
  12. I've had two of my four bugs in Germany (one is still in there) and they all know exactly what to do with them (in fact they're more reliable than the English!)! I wouldn't worry too much about it- about 75% of German logs are in English which is nice of them MarcB
  13. "And that's the end of that chapter" [swings scarf over shoulder] MarcB
  14. Okay I may have the answer... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...&log=y&decrypt= In this cache The Hurigan Hoopers meet The Coastway Cruisers (2C's maybe)- this is June 28th. Exactly two weeks later 2C's go on their cache blitz. Interestingly, neither team has posted on the forums so they're probably oblivious to all this! What do you think? MarcB
  15. UK Maps are too expensive to buy so we ain't having em'! Anyway we have the best cache site in the world (referring to the flash map)... http://stats.guk2.com MarcB
  16. lol It's nice to see overseas vistors posting in the UK forum! MarcB
  17. Was exactly is DEET? (or DOOT or whatever it is!) MarcB
  18. Okay, this one was *really* confusing till I saw the date! MarcB
  19. Amazing! It's going to be a real race for the first to 1000! Well done Hornet MarcB
