  1. Sure it would be nice to have thousands of caches already, but in all honesty it really doesn't matter to me. I do it for the fun of finding the cache, not for any statistics.
  2. yeah I hate that some people just automatically assume that if they can't find it it's not there, so asinine.
  3. entirely out of rubber so it never slides out of your pocket or breaks upon dropping
  4. it makes you feel like your on a treasure hunt every time you go out for a cache!
  5. people are idiots, people are mean, etc. etc.
  6. if your talking about the same easter eggs im thinking of it will not work out very well for many reasons. the material is extremely light and would allow moisture in. a bag would only trap any moister left in the bag inside of it, turning everything into a wet sloppy mess.
  7. stamps just seem so impersonal, like a celebrity autopenning their signature onto your book, just not the same as writing your name down
  8. best not to use a business card since that can be seen as advertising. leave some sort of other card that can bring them to your geocaching profile if they want more info.
  9. "Oh THAT hole, yeah I didn't dig that, it was already there", the famous cache hider saying. Unless you can prove nothing pointy was used then I'd stray away from putting a cache in any "pre-existing" hole.
  10. they're easier to hide but I'll admit I do feel the same way, currently holding a trackable that I cant find a good home for because there are very few caches large enough to accommodate it in my area
  11. log a Needs Maintenance log actually read this as "I'm Sorry I'm Jewish", dunno why
  12. probably just your browser deleting your cookies periodically. I believe you can turn regular cookie deletion off but I'm not quite sure.
  13. Doesn't seem ethically right but I know of plenty of geoocachers who do do it. IMO if you can live with the guilt then go for it.
  14. just got it on 12/21/12 on a guardrail lol, GC3N1RF
  15. kinda reminds me of the time that Google tried to make a social network, remember how well that turned out?
  16. i dont mind it, if anything it's a valuable hint in case i get stuck!
  17. don't know why the geocacher couldnt just tell them what theyre doing, not much different than an id card that could have been faked
  18. I've cleared the chaches in one town in my area for the most part. It's a very small town that only had 8 or 9 caches so it wasn't that hard. Should be a while before I clear out the whole area.
  19. wouldn't be very fun finding the cache if you already know where it is...
  20. just need to make sure it's waterproof. hate to see it go out there without a trial run and ruin the logs as soon as it rains.
  21. Very possible that there's a cache in every county of the United States, however I doubt someone has gotten one in every county of every state, nobody can have that much time on their hands, can they?
  22. make it out of metal pipe. i doubt anyone would think that metal pipe would be a pipe bomb, it would explode horribly!
  23. Happened to me yesterday except I was able to open the cache but I couldn't get the log out. Just take a picture with it and send it to the CO to see if they think it's appropriate for you to log the find next time.
  24. Nothing gets you your daily source of iron quite like an 11"L x 5.56"W x 6.75"T .50 Cal Ammo Box
