  1. sad to say that ive never really had the chance to go caching outside of my home area but when I do I hope I dont get lost with my gps
  2. havent had any of my own true trackables yet, but when I do i plan on thanking the mover for not just stealing it like ive heard in countless stories
  3. since i started caching in november, i havent had the opportunity to go caching much what with the snow and all, but once spring rolls around I plan on using an old laptop bag to carry my essentials
  4. could be listed on another site or might have not passed inspection, or the reviewer is slow, could be anything really.
  5. frozen dog poop that I thought was a rock. luckily I had some hand sanitizer in the car.
  6. NM since he could just replace it elsewhere and change the coords.
  7. By buying the sticker from them it's commercial usage, it clearly says in the rules that it can only be used for non-commercial activities.
  8. I've always been told to get the permission of anyone near the spot to place a cache there, maybe that could have avoided all of this.
  9. To be honest I'm not a fan of caching during the winter for the very reason that the cache coould be covered by snow whether it says its winter friendly or not.
  10. Technically you can log a find on any cache in the world regardless of whether or not you actually found it, whether its right or not is the question. I think your more in the former than the latter here.
  11. just to say that your trackable visited the 2,000,000th cache
  12. I don't see why not, seems like an awesome trade up to me
  13. don't scrap the cache altogether, but if I were you I'd place it elsewhere and change the coords
  14. Nope, I've even heard of one that was like 600 feet below the ocean (of course you have to take it to land to sign, then bring it back)
  15. try emailing Groundspeak, i doubt complaining to the forums will solve much
  16. Imagine if NASA dropped a cache on Mars when they visit, how awesome would that be!?
  17. Lock in locks seem to work the best, since there's always a backup if one container were to fail and allow for water to leak in, but I would love to get my hands on an ammo-can. I have one but without a top so it would be nice to have a full one
  18. The only time this happened to me it resulted in me awkwardly explaining what geocaching was while I was given dirty looks by two muggles.
  19. I always do just to let the next person know when the cache was last found without having to check their gps for recent logs.
  20. Honestly if I ever became an astronaut, I would be sure to place some sort of cache on whatever I visited before leaving.
  21. This bothers me too, one of the caches I logged was so crammed with swag that I couldn't open it by hand. When I got a pen out to pry it open, the contents went everywhere, which included: cigarette butts, a few pieces of chewed chewing gum, a reel of tangled fishing line, and various other plastic bits and bobs.
  22. anything that will keep moister OUT and the contents IN
  23. Isn't it against the Geocaching rules to place food or beverages in a cache?
