I have to join Pup Patrol in the lament of "why, oh why"! These are awesome looking coins and seriously tempting to get. Thanks for sharing this with us! Those are some seriously beautiful looking coins with a great historical focus. Books are awesome and so a geocoins. Which one is awesomer?? The perennial dilemma!

Hi, I am pretty new to collecting geocoins and wonder what collectors do with registering/activating coins on Geocaching.com. If we have some limited edition coins and want to keep them at maximum value, do people activate them or keep them as new ones? Thanks!

Just wanted to pipe in and say the axes look great! I noticed you have other viking themed coins. How would I go about seeing what you have and possibly ordering them? I am quite interested in Norse history and these coins are a great expression of that.

Hi, All, I joined the forums ages ago, but forgot about them and have not been on for over a year or so, I think. I have been caching for a couple of years, though with paltry levels of finds. I am a bit of a TB nut, (finding them and releasing them are both cool). I also have a bit of a geocoin obsession going. Good to finally make it here and drop a line. Cheers.

I have wondered myself about geocoins and their survivability in the wild. I have gone to caches specifically to find them, but found them missing. This is a sad thing, expecially for the owners. I have also received messages from owners of caches asking me whether I have seen a geocoin in there. I guess they are pretty small, and easily lost, but I wonder about the thefts too. Like some, I am a bit suspicious of the numbers that go missing. I think the ideas for using them here are great. Though, that idea of tracking my own geocaching miles is rather cool. I might tag my stock hat one day.
