  1. Use Garmin's link with www instead of www8: http://www.garmin.com/software/Montana_402Beta.exe Hans
  2. Yes, you can use that GPX version (which actually is just an enhanced V1.0). But Garmin's firmware does not support attributes. So you will not see the attributes on your unit. Frohes Jagen Hans
Frohes Jagen Hans
  4. OSM maps are third party garmin vector maps and NOT Garmin CustomMaps.
  7. Open the filter window (Ctrl-F). Klick on the "Where" tab. Insert the following code: not(LastFoundDate > Date("now","localtime",'-365 days')) Hit "Go" The result will be a subset of all caches with no found logs within the last year. This method has a prerequisite: You must have all last year's logs in your database. HTH Hans
  8. There is not such export function for BaseCamp. If you are using GDB export the result (showing as waypoints) is expected. BaseCamp needs GPX files (V1.0) for showing caches correctly. Hans
  9. In Settings > Geocaching > Set Filters you can set a filter for cache types (which is nearly pretty the same than a symbol search). Hans
  10. Yes, from the map page > hit the tripple line icon (sub menu) > choose setup map > advanced setup > zoom levels > user waypoints: set this to a higher value (say 2 mi). Frohes jagen Hans
  11. Could you briefly explain what this means in relation to the comma problem to folks like me who aren't code nerds? Thank you. That means that Field Notes code other than that are not detected from the Garmin unit. For more technical infos on UTF: please check wikipedia Hans
  12. Garmin's Field Notes has to be UTF-16 coded.
  13. The sat bars are using the highlight color. You have to set it accordingly. Main Menu > Setup > Appearance > Day Highlight Color (and Night Highlight Color) HTH Hans
  14. Shame on you not reading the manual. What you're searching for is printed in plain english on page 26. Dang. Frohes Jagen Hans
  15. I've mentioned that as well. If we know how Garmin is called that icon in it's firmware, we possibly could get rid of it with a Custom Symbol. Happy Hunting Hans
  16. Give that a try: http://www.rchnet.ch/spoilertool/ Happy Hunting Hans
  17. You'd better create 4 PQs with radius 11 and slice it by time. Area based PQs always will overflow at a future time with the necessary of being adjusted from time to time. Time based PQs are kind of sticky. Frohes Jagen Hans
  18. NZ Opengps maps are NOT »Custom Maps« but Garmin maps. They should be installed as their website says: Frohes Jagen Hans
  19. Have you set the track to "Show on map" within the track manager? Hans
  20. #fail The OP wants to change the bearing/goto line. Short answer: It's impossible to change the goto line colour. Frohes Jagen Hans
  21. Have a look there: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=78125&whichpage=6 Frohes Jagen Hans
