  1. Hi, Hopefully the title should be self-explanatory, but I think I've run into a bug: a couple weeks ago I wasn't happy with my adventure finds increasing my total, so I deleted the logs on the website. I've since changed my mind, though, and figured that undeleting each find would fix it on the main site. It didn't. Is this intended, or a bug? If I'd known it was irreversible, I wouldn't have done it in the first place!

  3. Hello! I'm not entirely sure if my request will be answered here, but I'll try posting anyways. I am a geocacher from Delaware, and am currently working on a difficult multi-stage puzzle cache. My question is, are there any hiders out there that may be willing to put out a stage of this cache in their home state? Anywhere in the US is fine, but I'm mainly looking at the Eastern US. Thanks!
  4. It's just started happening on my map, too. Might be a bug in the website. My suggestion is, tell TPTB to use their hands and squash it.
  5. So, there's this one travelling cache that I was surprised to find less than 40 miles from my house. I was just planning to find it on Monday, until I find that a cacher has just removed the travelling cache and would replace it somewhere much farther away. Sorry, what? The cache had been there for one day, and had been found twice before it was moved. Before that, I noticed that since January, this cache had constantly been placed, then moved by the first person to find it, making it near impossible to track down. Occasionally, it had even been moved before the coordinates were updated. These cachers weren't noobs, either- most were premium members who have done a lot of caching. So I was wondering, what kind of etiquette is there for travelling caches? Is it really that common for the FTF to move the cache? I know there isn't really a rule for how much time it needs to stay, and I'm not asking for one, but this was really irritating. I'd just like to know people's opinions.
  6. Definitely need to post a NA. I did the same for another cache.
  7. The sidebar should be available. If you see a tiny grey bar with an arrow on the left side of the map, click on it.
  8. This is very easy to do. If you've ordered a PQ, all you have to do is order one containing all your finds, then just open it, and all your finds will be placed in the GSAK database. For new finds, just download those caches via Get caches... Or, if it's already in the data base, just Refresh Cache Data...
  9. Hi, I noticed very recently that multiple challenges were being published on the East Coast. Is Groundspeak allowing challenges again? Or did the reviewer miss the ALRs? Take GC4VZPM, or GC4W4MD,GC4WFR6, GC4VN6F, GC4W4P9...
  10. Hi, One of my good geocaching friends tried to open a premium cache. From my perspective, the icon told me they were a basic member. But when they logged into their profile, it said that they were a premium member in the box at the top of the page, a premium member as their icon, and that their premium membership would expire in 3 months. However, when they opened a premium cache, they got the Upgrade to Premium banner. In desperation, they bought a 3 month membership, but still could not view the PMC. Now, when I view their profile, they are a Premium Member. Advice? I tried my best to help them.
  11. OK- I still may be able to hide the cache in the park. Thanks!
  12. I'm not entirely sure I understand. I am just asking how each LPC seems to arrive quickly and simply.
  13. This park is next to our neighborhood, so it's kind of small... But now that I think about it, the park does go back far. But there's still no trails. Still, an LPC would probably be a handful to get permission for. But how do they pop up so quickly?
  14. Yeah, I guess that makes sense. But the only parks near me are muggle central stations. I hid a cache there and it was muggled in less than a month... twice... Any advice of how to get around this? Maybe hide it farther from the entrance?
  15. I'm not necessarily degrading it. It's a snake-in-a-can. I thank the first poster, just in case I do get permission from wherever I hide it. Or maybe a guardrail would be better... what do you think? We live in DE, that's pretty much what most of the hides are like. What I really want is for the finder to expect an easy C&D, but then...
  16. Just wondering- I have a very creative container, that I wish to place under a lamp post. It's the best place to hide it. But how would I hide it? How can I bee sure there isn't a wasp's nest? And what kind of permission will I need?
  17. Well, they may not need to log who helped them, just an idea. Could I try and create another series like Cache Across America?
  18. Would it be possible, unlike texamaryohmy... to have geocaches in every state capital that contain cords for a final stage of another state capital? Just wondering. Each post would require the GCer to state who found their final coordinates.
  19. This is just an idea- for now. Two things: 1. Would it be possible to hide a geocache in Delaware with extra coordinates inside that spell out the true location of a puzzle cache in Pennsylvania, which contain coordinates that spell out the true location of a puzzle cache in NJ, etc... in the order of state admittance, ending in DC. Hopefully this isn't considered a challenge! 2. If it does work, I need a geocacher who is willing to hide a 'link' in their state's capital. Geocachers would be able to find #51 if: They have a buttload of money to travel (not recommended) OR They work together and share coordinates. More details later.
