Team 5 Oh, thanks. I was aware of the external antenna jack on the Garmin. I was wondering if there was any significant difference between the internal Quad antennas.

It's interesting you mention the compass. I would not consider the triple axis feature a big deal. If you're going North and are holding the unit vertically I guess that's good but if you suddenly turn around does that mean you will go straight to hell;-) Actually the ability of the Map 76S barometer to distinguish between atmospheric pressure and the GPS altitude sounds like a more significant feature if it actually works.
